Inky Fall Leaves

I love fall, don't you?! I saw this tutorial on Pinterest (Jackie Bolhuis has a video) so I decided to try it with the pretty leaves in Colorful Seasons.  It uses a baby wipe and reinkers for a stamp pad.

I started by folding two baby wipes into a rectangle and put them on a clear block F.  I then dropped reinker spots of Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry in a random pattern.  I would use maybe three or four drops of each color within the rectangle.  Then I stamped into the ink with the solid leaf stamp. You can move around a bit to get the colors, but not too much as it will become brown.  My first card has some white on the leaf but I think it's a cool effect.  I stamped a bit more with the second card and it's deeper.  I wish I had more yellow here.  I added some leaves which I cut from the Seasonal Layers Framelits and adhered my piece to an Old Olive panel, stamped a sentiment, and backed it with a tiny strip of Rich Razzleberry.

Happy Fall

I am loving this new Painted Harvest stamp set!  The sunflowers look amazing and it's easy to do with the two-step stamping method!  It's a versatile set.  I have seen others use this as a Christmas wreath stamped in green.  Check out my Pinterest board to the right (Holiday 2017).  I have pinned several samples.   Also, below you will see one I made for a class card.  We all created our own dsp with the stamp set. Fabulous Friend

I made this card for my fabulous friend.  I used You've Got Style.  I just love this lady and the sentiments!  I colored her in with blender pens and inks to match the Naturally Eclectic designer series paper (Emerald Envy, Soft Sky, Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist).  I added Glimmer Dots and then I used a silver gel pen on her purse and jewelry. Using up the Pumpkins

I had so much fun making Paper Pumpkins last weekend with friends!  I got a little behind and spent the entire day trying to catch up.  I really love the Sara Paper Pumpkin from a few months ago.  I made most of these with that kit.  I also used the watermelon kit to make the last card.

Holiday goodies

Yes, I know you're thinking cookies, candies, etc. with the title, but I got this big box of Stampin' Up! goodies from my pre-order of the holiday catalog.  It begins on September 1.  WOW, is all I can say. There are some amazing papers, stamps, embellishments, punches, etc.

Celebrate

I made this for my niece who just passed her Level 2 CFA exam.  There aren't many who pass it on the first try!  I'm so proud of her!!

I used Beautiful You and the Marbled background stamp to make this card.  I started with one of my favorite colors, Bermuda Bay.  I stamped a panel of Whisper White with the Marbled background stamp. Then I stamped the girl with Memento twice.  I used a paper pumpkin stamp to put the dots on the skirt, cut it out and glued it on top of the other image.  I used a blender pen to color the image in and finished off with Metallic Enamel Shapes.
