Vibrant Vases

I posted a sketch challenge over on my Facebook business page.  I gave the sketch a whirl last night.  I haven't cut into my new In Colors dsp yet, ,so I decided to use that.  Pretty Peacock is my favorite new In Color.  What is yours?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  I'm not sure why I hadn't used it yet, but I'm glad I did.  I paired it with Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Pineapple Punch.  I would use this color combination again.

The stamp set is called Vibrant Vases and it's a great set!  I stamped the vase on Shimmery White Cardstock in Pretty Peacock, used the solid vase to stamp over with Granny Apple Green, and then punched out.  The flowers were stamped with Pretty Peacock and colored in with Pineapple Punch and a Blender Pen.  Then I fussy cut the flowers, and adhered the vase and popped the flowers with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay.  Isn't it a pretty font?  Please let me know what you think!

Fabulous Friend

I made this card for my fabulous friend.  I used You've Got Style.  I just love this lady and the sentiments!  I colored her in with blender pens and inks to match the Naturally Eclectic designer series paper (Emerald Envy, Soft Sky, Night of Navy and Lemon Lime Twist).  I added Glimmer Dots and then I used a silver gel pen on her purse and jewelry. This color combination for the Pals Paper Arts is by yours truly!  I wanted to come up with a fall combination since mine was in September.  It reminds me of our pretty fall leaves.  I am very fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places in the country during the fall.  I can't wait for the leaves to start turning!

I started off with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock.  I heat embossed with White Stampin' Embossing Powder, and then sponged the three colors randomly, overlapping a bit each time.  When I was done, I wiped off the white leaves with a tissue.  I popped the sentiment on a die cut from Swirly Scribbles.  The leaves are stamped and die cut from the Thoughtful Branches bundle.  The ribbon is from the brand new holiday catalog.  I hope you like this combination, and you'll play along with us!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you had a nice Labor Day Weekend!

Global Design Project #029

I saw this color combo for the Global Design Project and had to try it!  I stamped the cute bicycle from Sale-a-Bration, Pedal Pusher, in Early Espresso on Shimmery White cardstock, and colored in with blender pens.  The background is the Decorative Dots Textured Embossing Folder.  I used a sentiment from Greatest Greetings.  Love this font!!  I also stamped some "gravel" with Timeless Textures.  I tied some Linen Thread with the Bermuda Bay 1/8" stitched ribbon.  Please let me know what you think!
