More Blooms

I received the In Bloom bundle the other day and started to play with the set using the Paper Blooms designer paper I posted about previously.  Wow, I couldn't stop!  The two work together so well.  If you like the Paper Blooms dsp, be sure you order it before February 28.  The Sale-a-bration catalog will end on that date.  This paper is FREE with purchase until then.  If you buy the In Bloom bundle, for $48.50, you would only  need to add something small like Stampin' Dimensionals to bring it to $50.  Then you would choose the Paper Blooms paper for free.  Aren't they a nice match?!  The dies even cut some of the flowers on the dsp.  I used sentiments from Happy Thoughts.  For cardstock, I used Seaside Spray, Night of Navy, Petal Pink, Rococo Rose, Soft Seafoam and Old Olive. Easy peasy!  Let me know if you have questions or need dimensions.

Shop for products used below.  If you spend $50, you will not only get a free item from Sale-a-bration, you will get a gift from me if you use the host code:  D2STJZGC

If you spend $150, please do not use the host code as you will receive Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up! and you will get to choose three level 1 items or one level 1 and one level 2 items.  Don't worry, I will still give you the gift!

The Chicks!!

I loved the Hey Chick stamp set when it came out a couple of years ago during Sale-a-Bration.  I was so excited to see it come back as a limited time set with dies! Hey Birthday Chick is adorable as well.  I used the Birthday Chick below.  The chicks are so much fun!

I used the designer series paper from the upcoming annual catalog.  You can only get it when you sign up to be a demonstrator through the end of February.  I was able to pre-order as a demonstrator.  I love the patterns!  I chose the brights collection.  It's my favorite.  My card base is Daffodil Delight and the dsp is in Bermuda Bay and Real Red.  I colored the cute image in with my Stampin' Blends.  The little chick in the egg was die cut and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I also die cut the Happy Birthday twice for sturdiness before adhering.  Let me know what you think, or if you have a favorite!

Enjoy the Moment

The Enjoy the Moment stamp set was an all-attendee prize at OnStage at Home in November. I was completely baffled at how to use it.  I finally sat down to ink it up and this I what I came up with.

I wanted a sunset sort of background, so I took my Blending Brushes and inked up my paper in Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz.  Then I stamped the image with Memento black and colored in lightly with light Old Olive and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.  I decided to use black behind both the sky panel and the image panel to make them pop.  The sentiment was stamped on Coastal Cabana and cut with Tasteful Label dies.  I use these dies so often!  I tied some Linen Thread around the image panel and popped the sentiment on top.  I finished by flicking a black Stampin’ Write maker lightly over the image panel.

I decided to make one more, as I almost always do.  This time I used Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz.  I  stamped the image on vellum with Basic Grey and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  The sentiment was stamped with Basic Grey and cut with Tasteful Labels dies.  I tied some white bakers twine around the panel. The vellum was adhered with mini glue dots under the image a bit, and under the sentiment.  The Elegant Faceted Gems were added and I tucked mini glue dots under them as well.  I really enjoyed using this awesome stamp set once I got going!  There may be another coming up soon!!  Let me know which one you prefer.

Pretty Perennials

I had to have this bundle called Pretty Perennials when I saw it in the mini catalog.  I love the two-step flowers, but I love the big Happy sentiment most of all.

I recently participated in a mystery stamping zoom.  I decided to use the new designer paper from the upcoming annual catalog.  How did I get that paper before the catalog you ask?  I was able to pre-order it as a demonstrator.  You can get it as well!  If you sign up as a demonstrator, your starter kit will allow you to get 5 packs of this paper (different color families) for FREE!! That's 200 sheets of 6x6 paper. You would spend $99 and choose up to $125 in product and you'll get the designer paper for free.  Oh, did I mention the FREE shipping?  Such a great deal!  Once you sign up, you can simply use the discount for yourself, or you can try to build a business.  It's totally up to you.  There is no further obligation once you join.  Check it out here or contact me with questions.  I'd love to have you on my team!!  JOIN Shell Stampers  If you want to simply shop my store 24/7, click the flower to the right.  If you spend $50 and purchase the Pretty Perennials bundle, I'll send you a card kit as well.

February is the best time to shop!  For every $50 purchase, you will receive a free level one item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  There are some great options!  Check it out here:

Anyway, on to my cards!  Any time I participate in something like this, I cut two versions in case the first gets messed up!  Which do you like best?  The first is on a base of Balmy Blue, using the big Happy along with a piece from Stitched So Sweetly (one of my favs!).  I stamped on So Saffron and fussy cut it.  The second is on Highland Heather and I used a sentiment piece from Hippos & Friends. The greeting is from Happy Thoughts.  Let me know what you think, or if you'd like the dimensions.
