Feminine Roots

Hi Stampers!  Hope your summer is going well.   I was dying to make a card with my new Rooted in Nature bundle, and I had to make a card for a female friend who likes green.  I decided to see if I could get it to work.  Here is the result.  I started by stamping leaves in soft colors (Soft Sea Foam, Gorgeous Grapefruit) and then I used a Sponge Dauber to add the darker colors on the edges.  I cut a bunch out and started placing them behind that wood piece, on top of a panel of Wood Textures dsp*.  The wood stump was stamped in Crumb Cake and edged with Early Espresso for the bark.  I decided it needed more color so I cut two Celebrate pieces in Gorgeous Grapefruit.  They were glued on top of one another for more dimension.  I kept searching for something to add to the layers, and finally found these flowers which were a freebie from a Paper Pumpkin a few months ago.  I never realized they were white on the back!  A tiny pearl from the Share What You Love suite was added to the top of each flower.  I think it makes it a bit tropical, don't you?  Anyway, let me know what you think.  Did I manage to make Rooted feminine? Let me know if you have questions.  Thanks for stopping by!

p.s.  You can click on either of the graphics to purchase from my online store if you're interested!  *DSP (designer series paper) is on sale until July 31st!!  Buy three, get one free.  Check out the deal below.

Put your sunglasses on!

I made this card with the specialty designer series paper called Delightfully Detailed.  I really love the intricate papers, especially the circles.  On the first, I started with a  Thick Whisper White card base and used Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape.  Yes, I was very daring with this color combination!  I also added a few Granny Smith Green and Coastal Cabana dots behind the circles.  I simply punched a few different sized circles with punches and the smallest circle dies I had. The sentiment is from the hostess set called Hand Delivered.

On the second card, I started again with Whisper White Thick card stock and used a layer of  In Color dsp and added the Delightfully Detailed circles and did the same with Pool Party, Granny Smith and Real Red circles.  This sentiment is from Detailed With Love.  I then added a few sequins.  Which do you prefer?

Share What You Love

I LOVE this dsp!!  It's card stock weight and some of the papers are shimmery.  It's gorgeous!  I made this card and several others with it.  I wish I had taken inside pics of this card.  You can see the other side of the dsp inside. I made the base from Rich Razzleberry (8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4).  I cut off a panel at 1 1/2 inches.  I then cut a piece of Share What You Love specialty designer series paper (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  I adhered it inside the card stock, wrapped it with this pretty velvet ribbon and added a Linen Thread bow.  The sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set and cut out with Stitched Labels Framelits.  This was made for one of my team members for her birthday.  I can't even count the July birthday cards I sent out!  I think half the people I know were born in July.  I would love for you to leave me a comment.  It'll make my day!  And feel free to ask questions. Thanks for stopping by.
