Honeybee Home - Mini preview

I used the Honeybee Home bundle for this card.  Don't you just love those cute little bees?!  This bundle coordinates so well with the Heart and Home bundle.  They are both in the upcoming spring mini catalog. I CASED the catalog.  They show a beautiful tag which inspired me.

I changed the color combination by using Misty Moonlight, Basic Gray, So Saffron and Old Olive.  The Misty Moonlight panel was embossed using the Hive 3D embossing folder I used a piece of the pretty dsp from Heart & Home and die cut it with Stitched Rectangles.  I then added one of the Heart & Home doilies, then stamped and die cut flowers and bees.  I put a little bit of color using Stampin' Blends in Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, So Saffron, and the colorless blender.  A piece of the Denim ribbon was tucked under the sentiment piece from Heart & Home.  I finished by added some of the Classic Matte Dots which I love!

Heart and Home

I attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage event last weekend.  It was fantastic! I'm so excited about the new spring catalogs and can hardly wait to share with you!  One bundle I was able to order before the event was the Heart and Home bundle.  It's a beautiful stamp and die set. I made this fun fold card with it.  I used the pretty dsp from this bundle, the Tailor Made Tags dies, and a great sentiment set from the annual catalog called Through it Together.  I hope you like it!

Just a tip, I stamped the flowers in Cinnamon Cider, then used a Stampin' Blend in Pale Papaya after it dried a bit.  You can't color a lot, just very lightly as it can smear the ink.  I had the Cinnamon Cider pieces sitting on my desk so I put them to work as well.  If you need the tutorial for the fold, scroll back a few posts and you will see it.  It's a favorite of mine!

If you shop in my store and spend $30 or more, you will get a gift and a homemade card from me.  Just use this host code:  K94VWUK6

Pals Blog Hop - Fantastic Fun Folds

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is Fantastic Fun Folds and 3D Projects. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I was excited to participate in this month's Pals Blog Hop when I saw the theme.  I LOVE fun folds! I saw this particular one first on Julie Davison's blog.  I have made so many cards with this fold!

This one is using Beauty of the Earth designer paper. All of the patterns are gorgeous!  A quick tutorial:

Daffodil Delight Cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (just a panel)
Designer Series Paper cut at 5-1/4" x 11-3/4" (be sure pattern is upright)
Score dsp at:  1-3/4", 4-3/4", 7-3/4" on the short (5-1/4") end
Burnish edges.  The top 1-3/4" will be the back side of the paper.
Adhere the back/bottom onto the cardstock panel.
Cut leaves from Stitched Leaves dies and sponge dauber the edges.
Add a label/tag for sentiment.  I used one from Love of Leaves and cut with Tasteful Label dies.
I added some Gilded Gems for embellishments.
Inside is 2-1/2" x 5"

Let me know if you have questions!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 10th. Our theme will be “Home for the Holidays” when our Design Team creates a project to celebrate the upcoming holidays. Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Oh, For the Love of Leaves!!!

I LOVE fall and the beautiful leaves we have in New England!  When a friend asked me to make some thank you cards with leaves on them, I jumped in.  I gently cased Livia Lau.  Here are some samples I made with the Love of Leaves bundle.  This is not new, but it's a must have!  I used up whatever cardstock scraps I had for the leaves, then sponge daubered them.  The colors are:  Sahara Sand (base), Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, and Mango Melody.  Some of the backgrounds are made with the Love of Leaves dies (lines) and some with the Timber embossing folder.

During Sale-a-bration, you can choose FREE products with a $50 or $100 purchase.  This ends on September 30, so don't miss out!!  There are some cute items you can get.

You can shop for any of these projects in my store 24/7:

Penguin fun!

Did you know you can get this adorable Penguin Playmates designer series paper FREE in the Sale-a-Bration catalog?  That’s right. Spend $50 and you can choose this paper.  It’s so much fun!  I not only made some Christmas/Holiday cards, I also made my granddaughter’s birthday card with it.

This one starts with a base of Fresh Fressia.  I used Hippo & Friends dies for the sentiment piece.  The sentiment comes from Peaceful Deer from the holiday mini.  I simply fussy cut the penguin from the dsp.  The Subtle Shimmer Sequins are from the mini catalog as well.  I used the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon.  The dsp was cut at  2-1/2” x 5-1/4” and 1-1/2” x 5-1/4” .   I used the same layout with each card.

I used the same layout with each card, but flipped it with this card.  I started with a base of Just Jade and the sentiment was stamped on Soft Seafoam in Just Jade, then cut in little strips.  Isn't the little fox cute?!

Oh my ombre!

When I first saw the Ombre Specialty Paper in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog, I didn't think much of it because the picture doesn't really show it.  When I received it after winning in a prize patrol, I couldn't believe how gorgeous it was!  It's very shimmery and pretty.  It cuts easily and doesn't leave any glitter or residue behind.  You should try it out!  It comes in four colors - Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape and Night of Navy.

I've seen lots of cards using ombre strips of paper, so I thought I'd give it a try.  I cut the five strips at 1"x 3-1/2" .  I put Stampin' dimensionals on them, mounted on an embossed piece of Basic White (embossed with Tasteful Texture embossing folder) and adhered on a Basic White card base.  Then I cut the leaves from the Artistic Dies, stamped and cut the flower from Artistically Inked bundle, and adhered the leaves and flower.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on Basic Black and embossed with White embossing powder.  I trimmed it closely and mounted with mini black Stampin' Dimensionals.  Let me know what you think!

Did you know you can receive a FREE item with a qualified purchase during Sale-a-bration?  With every $50 purchase in product, you can choose a level one item from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and there's no limit!   Browse here:

My Happiest Season - Pal's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is “My Happiest Season”. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My favorite season is a close tie between summer and fall.  I love the beach, swimming, flip flops, etc., but the fall is so pretty, especially in New England where I live.  The leaves are just gorgeous!!  So, I made one for each season.  Then I showed my son two cards to choose from for fall (first two).  He and I picked a different one, so I've posted both.  Please let me know your favorite!!

The first is on a Crumb Cake base, embossed with the Bark folder.  I used my Blender Brushes with Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, and Bumblebee.  Then I stamped the trees from Welcoming Woods (Holiday mini catalog).  I mounted it on Rich Razzleberry, added a tag from Tailor Made Tags, and tied some Linen Thread on it.

For this one, I started with a Mango Melody base, used Blending Brushes in Rich Razzleberry, Mango Melody, Bumblebee, and Crumb Cake.  The sentiment is from Welcoming Woods and it was cut with Stitched So Sweetly dies.

For my summer card, I chose Pale Papaya for the base and Flirty Flamingo for the panel. Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Pale Papaya were my blending colors, with a bit of Crumb Cake on the ground.  This sentiment piece is from the Pierced Bloom Dies and I tucked a piece of Fine Art ribbon under it.  If you zoom, you might see the Wink of Stella that is spattered over it.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 8th. Our theme will be “Focus on the Sentiment” when our Design Team creates a project showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Until then, have fun in your craft space.
