A sketch two ways

I recently participated in a mystery challenge and made two cards slightly different.  The intent was to put the strip of designer series paper down the middle, but I decided to put one off to the left a bit.  Let me know if you have a favorite!  I used the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing folder for my white panel on both cards.  It can be inked up for a fun look as well.

On the first card, I used the Textured Chic dsp with a snowflake.  The Wonderful Snowflakes are on clearance for $2.40. Go and check it out if you don't want to miss them!  The base is Soft Succulent, and the sentiment label is cut from Harvest Dies in Evening Evergreen.

On my second card I used Painted Christmas, a beautiful set of dsp, and also the Christmas Season stamp set and Seasonal dies (low inventory as of this writing!!).  The banner was from Stylish Labels. I used Garden Green for the base, layer and ink.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please let me know if I can answer any questions.

More Fitting Florets!

I can't seem to stop using this beautiful designer series paper!  That, combined with the gorgeous font in the Fitting Florets stamp set, is a great combination.  I found an older sketch on Freshly Made Sketches (#291).  It's a simple but I like how you use both sides of the designer series paper.  This was used for my Team Mystery Stamping.

How Fitting!

I recently posted about an amazing suite called Fitting Florets (scroll back two posts).  I wanted to make a Dutch Door card and decided to use this pretty designer series paper again.  The dies in the Fitting Florets cut out certain pieces of the flowers, but I wanted a different bunch, so I fussy cut.

This suite is available starting November 1 through January 4.  Some of the items are only available until January 4, or while supplies last (Framed & Festive stamp set, dsp and embellishments).  The Fitting Florets stamps and dies will be available in the mini catalog in January.  Don't you think this paper is really pretty?  There are a couple of holiday prints and the back sides are patterned, and the flowers are really nice.  I adore the font in the stamp sets!! Let me know what you think.

UPDATED for cuts:

Card base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” – Score at 4-1/4” and cut front in half at 2-3/4” then cut on fold line to remove top
Basic White: 2-1/2” x 4” (cut this twice – one for inside)

Cardstock to frame white:  2-3/4” x 4-1/4”
Patterned Paper: 2-1/2″ x 4″  twice (two different patterns)

Snow Crystal

I'm really not looking forward to the snow, but it is so pretty!  This Snow Crystal stamp is gorgeous, don't you think?  It's a stand alone stamp.  I borrowed the sentiment from Joyful Flurry.  I'm a sucker for a pretty snowflake!

I started out with Basic White (3-3/4 x 5).  I stamped the crystal in Versamark, added white emboss powder, and heat set it.  I then used my blending brushes to ink up some Pool Party and a bit of Night of Navy toward the middle. This panel was mounted on a Pool Party panel which is 4 x 5-1/4.  Then I adhered to a Night of Navy card base.

I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy on Pool Party cardstock and cut with a die from the Frosted Flurry dies.  I just love that shape!  I embellished with several flakes, stars, etc. from the Sparkle and Shine Sequins Assortment, and finally spattered with Wink of Stella.  I know it's hard to see!  Have you started your holiday cards yet?

More beer????

Ok, it's not beer, but I used the Brewed for You stamp set for this one.  I stamped a sprig from Honeybee Home.  I colored the flowers and jug in with Stampin' Blends (Pool Party, Flirty Flamingo).  To be completely honest, I covered up a smudge on the top right with the sentiment circle (retiring die - Tasteful Labels, sentiment from Hand-Penned).  What do you think?  Does it look like a beer jug?!

Brewed for You!

It's no secret -- I love a good craft beer!  When I saw this Brewed for You set in the upcoming Stampin' Up! annual catalog, I knew I had to have it.  Once I started playing, I couldn't stop.  Here are a few cards I've created using this fun set.

This uses brand new In Colors - Starry Sky and Orchid Oasis.  I've used the In Color dsp for most of it.  The "tray" is made from a piece of a retired dsp (any wood would do).  It was cut using the new Stylish Shapes and the banner was too.  The embellishments are new as well.

I made the "tray" with a concrete looking piece of paper from In Good Taste for this.  The mug and glass are vellum, and I put some Wink of Stella on them for a shimmery look.  It's so hard to capture in a photo.

I decided to try the square Stylish Shapes for this card.  The larger one is the Neutrals dsp, and the smaller is Basic Gray cardstock.  I put some splash on with a random stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Please leave me a comment if you have a minute!  I love reading them.  Stay tuned for the next post which will be a non-beer card I've created using this.

Here is the new catalog cover.  That's all I can show for now.   It goes live on May 3.

If you are not working with a demonstrator and would like a new catalog, please message me. I'd be happy to send you one, and I'd love to earn your business.  I send a small gift and handmade card with every order $50 and over.
