So Thankful

I am so thankful for so many things - family, friends, my job, my business and hobby.  I could go on.  I wanted to say how grateful I am for your support of my business in any way over the last year(s).  I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I used the Love of Leaves bundle on this card for a close friend.  The base is Blackberry Bliss, designer series paper is Plaid Tidings (my fav!!!), and the leaves were stamped with Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze and Bumblebee.  I added a bow using Braided Linen Trim, and a few In Color Enamel Dots.

The sentiment label is brand new from the upcoming spring catalog.  It's called Many Messages.  It's one big stamp with lots of messages, and one die to cut them all out at the same time.  You can have a stash ready when you need to make a card.  This will be available January 5.  If you'd like a catalog and you are not working with another demonstrator, please let me know!

Thinking of the Pines!

I am in love with the In The Pines bundle!  This is not just for the holidays.  You could do a sympathy card, get well, thinking of you, masculine birthday as well.

For this card, I started off with a sketch from my upline, Mary Fish, at Stampin' Pretty.  The base is Shaded Spruce, a color I have been using a lot of.  I cut the trees from the pines bundle.  I embossed a piece of Just Jade with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder, and added a piece of Tis the Season designer series paper.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas, stamped on a Stitched Shape.  I stamped the inside with a retired set (So Many Stars).  The embellishments are from the Flowers for Every Season gems.

*Several have asked for dimensions. I'm terrible at it because I eyeball everything.  Here you go!

Base:  4-1/2 x 9, scored at 5-1/2 (inside panel 4 x 5-1/4)

Left panel:  Whisper White 4 x 3-1/4, dsp 3-3/4 x 3

Right panel:  Whisper White 3-1/2 x 3-5/8, embossed panel 3-1/2 x 3-11/16

I used the largest Stitched Circle for the sentiment.  Please let me know if you have questions!

Host Code for November is:  J2SEWRPR

If you order the bundle and use the host code, I will send you a card kit.  If you spend $100 or more using the host code, you will receive a package of embellishments and a card kit.  If you spend $150 or more, do not use the host code.  You will still receive the card kit and embellishments, and you will get 10% rewards from Stampin' Up!

Basket of Blooms

I hemmed and hawed about getting the Basket of Blooms stamp set.  It works with the Small Bloom punch, so I decided to go for it.  I have made two cards so far and I LOVE this set!!  I'm so happy I purchased it.

I colored both in with Stampin' Blends and masked on both.  I used sentiments from Blossoms in Bloom and Playing with Patterns dsp (on SALE until Oct. 31!!!).   The dotted paper in the first card was made by stamping dots on the Playing with Patterns watercolor striped dsp.  The background was made by using a make up brush on the panel, then I fussy cut pieces and placed them on the Coastal Cabana background. On the second card, I stamped the vase and fussy cut the other pieces. Let me know what you think, or if you have a favorite!

Celebrate Sunflowers

When I saw this sunflower stamp set, I knew I had to have the bundle!  It's called Celebrate Sunflowers.  I decided to pair it with the Plaid Tidings dsp.  This black and white pattern is one of my favorite, but there are some gorgeous colors in this pack!  And guess what?  The dsp is on sale right now (through Oct. 31)!  Click the image below to get yourself a pack of this beautiful and versatile paper!  Spend $50 during October using the host code of:  PUAWEX9U and you will receive the tutorial and a package of Gilded Gems!  Buy this bundle and receive the tutorial, a card kit, and a pack of Gilded Gems free!

You can make this card by cutting a Basic Black base of 4-1/4 x 11, scored at 5-1/2, cut at 7-3/4.  Then cut another Basic Black panel at 2 x 4-1/4.  The Daffodil Delight layers are:  2x4 (top), 1-3/4 x 4 (bottom). Plaid Tidings dsp:  1-3/4 x 3-3/4 (top), 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 (bottom).  Cut a panel of Whisper White at 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 and a scrap of white for the flowers.  Adhere the Daffodil Delight and Plaid Tidings papers on top, stamp and design your flower panel and adhere at the top only.  While it is folded, place your bottom piece (after adhering Daffodil and Plaid papers) along the bottom of the card and adhere.  Cut inside panel at 4 x 5-1/4 and stamp sentiment with the card closed.  Let me know if you have questions!

World of Good

I hope you are all well and safe!  We all need a World of Good right now.  This was one of my first purchases from the new Stampin' Up! 2020-21 Annual catalog.  I love a good masculine card.  I know I'm one of the few.  This designer series paper is gorgeous!  I used that with the Memories & More pack from this suite and created this card.  The sentiment is from the Tasteful Labels dies.  The Old World embossing folder is amazing too!!

Pumpkins and Whales

Thought I'd share -- I made these cards below with pieces from the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  The background is a postcard from the kit.  I decided to pair the whale from Whale of a Time Suite.  I cut the larger whales out with the punch and dsp, and the smaller one was fussy cut.  The sentiment was heat embossed with Versamark and Stampin' White Embossing Powder.  I finished it off by adding some of the Elegant Faceted Gems.  I thought this would make a cute baby card!

A tip for you -- when cutting the whales out from the dsp, keep the ones on the edge.  They can be tucked behind another whale (the dark gray one in the back was missing a fin!).  Below, the snout is cut off, but I tucked it behind the other whale in the second picture.

Then I decided the turtle would look cute on the background too.  I stamped some seaweed, fish and the turtle.  The sentiment was stamped in Versamark with white embossing powder on Just Jade cardstock, and cut with a die from Hippo and Friends.

Let me know what you think.  I love reading your comments!
