I love this combination for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge!  I thought it was perfect for a Thanksgiving card but I've finished all of mine.  I then remembered that I had a November birthday coming up so that's what I made.

I pulled out the Watercolor Wings and went to work.  I realized I only had a small piece of chocolate chip paper left, so that is on my shopping list for next time.  I do love these butterflies.  They are so versatile!  I made a few extra so that I can whip out more cards later.  Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think!  Please come over to Pals Paper Arts and join us in the challenge!  We would love to see your creations.

Love this fun color combination from Pals Paper Arts!  I couldn't figure out what to do for fall though.  This reminds me of summer and I don't want it to end!

I ended up making three cards with this combination.  The first needs to go to my friend today.  Then I decided to make a couple of back ups for my stash.  I changed them up a bit. Wow, another fabulous color combination from Pals Paper Arts!  As always, I need birthday cards so that's what I set out to make.  I haven't used my Flower Patch set in a long time, so I dug it out and dusted it off!  I ended with a sentiment from Butterfly Basics.  I added a bit of Garden Green for the dark part of the leaf.  I will definitely use this color combo again!

I used an old but fabulous sketch from Random Acts of Creativity/Ipalamountain on Pinterest.  These butterflies were back ordered for so long.  Stampin' Up! is offering them at a discount until April 30. Love these yummy colors for the Pals Paper Arts Color challenge this week!  I will truly miss the In Colors which are going away in May.  Stock up now if you like them!  These are must haves for me (cardstock, ink pad & reinkers, markers, dsp).  Kraft isn't part of the In Colors, by the way.  I am anxious to see the next set of In Colors though!  Stampin' Up! always seems to come up with colors you can't live without.

I always seem to be in short supply of get well/thinking of you type cards so that's what I made.  I stamped the sentiment from Butterfly Basics in Early Espresso because black seemed too stark with these pretty colors.  Let me know what you think!

Butterflies

I truly love the Butterfly thinlits!  I didn't immediately get the bundle when it came out, but then started seeing all of the pretty cards made with it.  I finally caved.  Since then, I've used it a lot!  I love the sentiments in the stamp set so I've used that a lot too.  Anyway, I saw this on pinterest (sorry, I can't remember the source!).  The butterfly set is not currently available, but should be fairly soon. When it comes out again, run and grab it if you can!

Irresistibly Fun Technique

I saw this fun technique on Patty Bennett's blog.  You start with Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration freebie, Irresistibly Yours dsp.  It is gorgeous!  It's a white on white embossed paper in four patterns. I've used it previously and loved it, but this technique is awesome!  Check out Patty's video here: Patty Stamps.  Hers is gorgeous!

I stamped with the Flower Patch stamp set on top of the Irresistibly Yours paper, then took sponges and rubbed it to take off the ink from the embossed part and push it out past the flower.  I used Blackberry Bliss, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive.  I wish you could see how pretty this paper is!  I kept my card simple because I wanted the paper to show more, and because of what it's being used for.

Finally Four Feathers with Grunge

I FINALLY inked up my Four Feathers stamp set!!  I bought this before Christmas and just haven't gotten to it.  I ended up making two versions.  One of the sentiments is from my first Paper Pumpkin kit (Hey There, Friend).  I forgot to add the Early Espresso stamp pad which I used for the sentiments.

I just have to share why you should close your ink pad when you are done.  Check out the second card.  I had both Crumb Cake and Lost Lagoon open on my desk.  I finished with the Lost Lagoon and inked up Crumb Cake with Gorgeous Grunge.  When I went back to ink up again, I hit the Lost Lagoon and stamped.  I then realized it was the wrong color.  I went with it anyway!  Let  me know if  you think I should remake it!

I love this pretty color combination from the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  I decided to use Painted Petals with Butterfly Basics (background and small butterfly), and used a sentiment from Express Yourself (retired).

I thought I would have lots of time to stamp during the two snow days we had, but I ended up spending time cooking, trying to fix a printer, and a few other things. I really can't believe how fast the time went by!  I did make a few cards and it was nice having the extra days. 

Between Monday and Tuesday, we got between 31 and 33 inches of snow!  It was unbelievable.  It was a lot less stressful once I found out that my sons didn't have to work on Tuesday.  I usually sit home worrying about them.  The Massachusetts Governor issued a driving ban from midnight Monday through midnight Tuesday.  The post offices were closed along with grocery stores and Dunkin' Donuts!  There wasn't a driving ban in NH, where I live, but most people stayed home.   We will be getting another storm Friday and then again on Monday!  I guess we shouldn't have said it's been an easy winter so far.

Updated to add that this was written for a January 29 post.  Then I realized the correct date for this color combination is today!
