Fall in New England

I really love fall in New England!  I don't think I would ever want to live where I can't see the beautiful leaves, even if it's horrible in the winter.

I decided to make some pretty leaves by taking the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder and tapping some Brushos on the folder and then I spritzed with a Stampin' Spritzer.  I added a panel of thick Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Big Shot.  I also made another with the Woodland Embossing folder.  after spritzing, I took a tissue and ran it down the trees so they would be white.  And for the last card I decided to use the back side of a colorful panel so that it was appropriate for a sympathy card.  I used the leaf punch and Nature's Roots dies as embellishments, and the sentiment piece is from Merry Christmas All from the Holiday Catalog.  Let me know if you have any questions on technique, and tell me which is your favorite!

I promised to share a couple of Aruba pictures, and here they are.  It was beautiful even though we did have two days of rain.  We were experiencing the backlash from a hurricane that was hitting St. Maarten at the time.  The beach area was flooded so we enjoyed the pool.  The next day, we went in the ocean for some big waves!  We met some wonderful people and had a great time as always - One Happy Island!

Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder

This was one of the first things that caught my eye in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!  It's so pretty!  And how can you go wrong with such an inexpensive item that gives such a WOW factor!  I've used it several times as you can see below.  I love it in Gray Granite with Frost White Shimmer Paint!  I plan on using it again soon with another color.  Which color do you think I should try?

Ok, don't laugh, but the first photo shows how I stamped too far up with the flowers in Country Home.  I originally wanted to put the bow to the side, and then decided to cover up the white space with the bow.   What do you think?  There's almost always a fix for mistakes in stamping!  Thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to quickly let you know that Stampin' Up! updated the Clearance Rack.  They have some Fast Fuse and refills for those of you who love it!  I'm definitely getting some.  There are lots of other great products in there too, just don't wait too long or you'll miss out!  Click on the red banner below to go straight to the deals!

Brusho Dandelions

I truly love this Dandelion stamp set called Dandelion Wishes!  I decided it needed to be mixed with a Brusho background and here is the result.  I have also been dying to use this yummy new color called Mango Melody, so I went for a red, gamboge (orange) and yellow mix.  I think it matches pretty well.  What to do you think?

I started out by stamping the dandelion in Stazon on watercolor paper.  I let it dry for a bit and then started tapping out the Brusho crystals on the paper.  Then I spritzed with water.  I really love the different looks you can get with Brushos!  You can paint with them or use them like I did here.  I ended up using a sentiment from Happy Birthday, Gorgeous, and the die cut from Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Watch the Stampin' Up! Video on how to use Brushos below.

Tin Tile love

I must confess, I buy every embossing folder that Stampin' Up! comes out with. They are very affordable and they give a wow factor to a card.  I bought the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog which went live yesterday.  I didn't buy the Galvanized Paper.  It's on my list, but didn't make the cut this time.  This folder is gorgeous in any color!

I keep seeing cards posted using the galvanized paper and the Tin Tile Embossing Folder.  I decided to see how the Frost White Shimmer Paint would work.  I used a Stampin' Sponge and dabbed it on. Here is the outcome.  I used two different sets on this.  I needed a sympathy so I used the Thinking Of You from Rooted in Nature.  I decided to frame it with the Swirly Frames photo polymer set.  This is a versatile set!  I can't wait to play more with it.

Thanks for stopping by!  Please take a moment to let me know what you think.  I love reading your comments.  Let me know if you have questions.  You can find any of the products in my online store (click on flower to the right to shop or browse).
