PPA309

Such a gorgeous color combination from the talented Katy McGloin!!  I had a little bit of trouble getting started and then thought of my Sprinkles of Life set.  I was going to make a black raspberry ice cream cone but ended up making a cupcake.  I used Thoughtful Banners for the sentiment on the first card.  The dsp is actually envelope paper in Sweet Sugarplum.  I tied the Rouched Ribbon with some Island Indigo Bakers Twine from a Paper Pumpkin kit.  I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella on the flames after coloring in with Copics.  And you know me, I ended up making another card to see if I liked it any better.   On the second, I used Birthday Blossoms and the Pansy Punch.  It is mounted on two layers of doilies.  The sentiment is from Balloon Celebration, and I finished it off with a few enamel shapes.

Please let me know which one you like best.  Thanks for stopping by!

Michelle... What a surprise... two completely different takes on the color challenge! Both are fantastic but I LOVE the second card with the doily. Great job!

I love both of them too but the cupcake is my favorite. Although it might have been due to your discussion of black raspberry ice cream... my favorite summer flavor. The sweet sugarplum envelope paper got a workout at my house too. Very sweet, Michelle!

Of course I love both of these cards! But that cupcake card just spoke to me. How pretty, and Sweet Sugarplum was perfect, as we the choice to use the envelop paper.
