Endless Birthday Wishes

Sometimes I feel like my birthday card list is endless!   I don't often have time to sit and make a card just because.  I decided to whip out an easy one to get things moving.

This has to be one of my favorite stamp sets, Endless Wishes Birthday.  I used a designer series paper called Sweet Taffy.  Love the bright colors!  I used Melon Mambo cardstock.  For the image, I first cut out a strip with the Tag Topper Scallop punch.  Then I stamped the cake in Rich Razzleberry and the sentiment in Melon Mambo.  I dotted the cake with Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo, and colored in the cake plate with Pumpkin Pie.  I used the dots in the stamp set for the bottom of the tag.  I then added ribbon (retired) in Daffodil Delight and White Bakers Twine, and glued the Rich Razzleberry star with the Itty Bitty Accents punch.  Hope you like it!  Please leave me a comment if  you can.  Thanks!

PPA 216

Here is my card for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 216.  I made this for my dad who is turning 75 soon.  I used Just Sayin' stamps (product #133203), Word Bubble framelits (132968), Banner Framelits (132173), Back to Black designer series paper (133700), black candy dots, Real Red and Basic Black cardstock.  Thanks for looking & commenting!  I love reading them.

Maine Lighthouse Tour

I was on vacation this week and feel I need another week to rest!  We had a great time in Maine.  We were taken on a tour of several Maine Lighthouses by my husband's aunt and uncle.  We saw Portland Head, Two Lights, Bug Light, Spring Point Ledge and Nubble Light Lighthouses.  We ate delicious foods (fried clams & scallops, lobster, ice cream).  This is Spring Point Ledge and Portland Light.

We returned from Maine and then toured Hammond Castle in Gloucester, MA.  We ate more seafood and then headed to a beautiful beach in MA the next day.  And, yes, we had even more seafood on the way home.

The last two days were spent mostly at home.  I really hoped to spend part of the week sitting by the pool! The temps are cool at night which makes the water temperature too cold.  Of course, next week will be really hot and I will be back to work.  Oh well, I can't complain.  We really enjoyed our vacation!

Fishy by the tide

I got this By the Tide set in recently and I finally got the chance to ink it up.  I love this set!  I find it very hard creating scenes though.

I sponged the background in Island Indigo and Pool Party with a Stampin' Up! sponge.  I use a craft mat so I dab it on that and then start in a circular motion on my Whisper White card stock.  Then I stamped the fish in Old Olive, seahorse and shell in Crisp Cantaloupe, and cut them out.  I colored the fish in with Island Indigo and an aqua painter.  I colored the seahorse with Crisp Cantaloupe and the shell as well.  Then I added some Tangerine Tango for shading on the shell and also some pool party.   Then I added shimmer with my Wink of Stella clear pen.  It's very hard to see in the picture.  This is why I have a crooked photo.  I tried everything!

I need to practice more with the scenes.  I'm not really sure about the placement here.  I think I would add another fish in the future.  I just had to get it done and in the mail for my sister-in-law.

Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions or comments!

PPA 214

I made this for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge 214.  I love these colors, I just didn't know how to put them together!  I didn't have any Island Indigo dsp so I made my own with the Work of Art stamp set.  I always see things when I upload the photo, but I won't even let myself go there.  I don't have time to redo!!

I had some inspiration from Pinterest on this one.  I cannot find the pin!  I will keep looking and update if I find it.  I did change it up a bit.  I hope it's not too busy with the arrows and chevrons!  Let me know what you think.  (After searching for two days, I found the original inspiration on Pinterest!  It's here: inkspired treasures)

Anyway, thanks for looking and I really appreciate you taking the time to comment!
