We must have had snow during the night. I heard it pouring at 4 a.m. So I woke up to a messy slush.
My son usually has a ride to school but he didn't today. I drove him to school and on the way back I decided the traffic was moving too slow and I was in a hurry. I turned down a back road (very windy and narrow). I'm driving along and suddenly I came across 5 big giant turkeys in the road. They just looked at me like I was bothering them! Finally, I edged up toward them and they slowly decided they should get out of my way. Guess I should have stayed on the main road. The back one was pretty slippery.

That's wierd that it was raining although we did have thunder last week which was wierd. We have buffalo out here right outside the city limits but they don't roam -LOL.
I bet if you were not in a hurry that would of been a pretty site, the turkeys in the snow.
Gobble gobble back to you!
Gosh, I am so scared of turkeys. My dorm-master used to raise them and let them roam around their lands, but I had to pass by them to go to the store (to get food) and I swear, those turkeys can sense fear because they always chase after me and try to bop my legs. I tried stomping my feet (to my landlord's delight) but ended up always running down the hill because they couldn't outrun me. ;-)
of course I scream all the way down the hill (yes, I could hear my landlord's chuckle). hehe.
I do not miss slush. Not one little bit. Especially when it lurks in a puddle beneath a layer of fresh snow & you step out of your car into the trap. And then you end up with a slush filled shoe. =P
