Dead sexy shoes

Well, I hardly slept a wink last night. I watched the clock (1 a.m, 2 a.m., 3 a.m., etc., can't remember after 4 though) while my foot throbbed, my stomach ached, and my dh snored! I tried earplugs that didn't work, tossed and turned. I'll sleep like a baby tonight!

Foot feels a little better today but I had to wear my Lands End slip ons with dressy black pants and a nice beaded sweater! NOT sexy. Can't wait for the chiropractor (kinda cute) to see me in those later. My back is aching from limping with the bad foot. Can't win.

Tried to scrap last night after picking up the prescription. DH made me shut the lights out in my room and go out to elevate my foot on the recliner. I read about 5 pgs. and started snoring!! Oh well, maybe tonight I can play.

OUCH!!

What a morning. My heels have been bothering me for months (plantar fascitis). I finally had an appt. with my podiatrist today. He said your fascia is supposed to be between 2 and 3.5 centimeters. He did an ultra sound on mine and it was 5.2!!! So....he gave me a cortizone shot and I almost went through the roof. It hurt sooo bad and I have a high tolerance for pain. My foot is wrapped up with a pad or two and tape. I have to keep it dry for a week which means wrapping it in a bag during my shower. I can unwrap on Sun. night and enjoy the air because it will more than likely be wrapped again. I can't wear clogs any more either. :-( I live in clogs. I have these heel cups to wear inside heeled shoes. Yuck. My back is now killing me from limping. I can't stand getting old!!!!

On a good note, I had a successful crop. We had a newbie and she got a lot of 8x8 pgs. done of our Hawaii trip. So much fun. I only got 6 12x12s done but I was the hostess so I was expecting that. It's better than none!!

Good News!!

J finally got a call about the job interview he went on. It was good news and not so good news. They want him to start a new territory for them. It's in Rhode Island. So...his commute would be at least an hour, maybe an hour and a half. They provide the car. They're relying on his experience and expertise. They'll pretty much give the salary he was looking for. He just needs to let them know by Fri. What a relief!!! I hope this works out. I'm pretty sure he'll take it.

G's band played in a talent show last night and were disappointed they didn't win. Funny though, he said he thought it was because they had a screamer. I told him that everyone is entitled to their opinion and maybe the judges didn't like that kind of music. It was a good experience for them.

1/2 snow day

It was crazy in work, especially after they said we were closing at 1:00. It was a winter wonderland out my window! So pretty. Anyway, got home and J was snowblowing the driveway. Wasn't feeling well so I made him come in and eat before WE got out to finish the rest. I have two boys but one has a broken elbow and the other was working. So....I shoveled. There went my extra 3.5 hours. I know it didn't take that long but don't know what happened. Got on the treadmill by 5 so I guess that's better than 5:30, right? I had hoped to complete several sb pages (yeah right)!!!

I pulled my things out last night & found two more events for 2001!!! Not too happy. I did complete one 2 pg. and set another out for tonight.

I'm hoping J gets a phone call back today about a job. I can't take the one car family syndrome any more!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT MY CAR BACK. I am such a spoiled brat.

Such is Life

Well, I had a quiet weekend. I suppose I could have gotten on to post but didn't. I spent the weekend trying to clean up for Sunday's crop and sorting photos for the next two years so I had something to crop!! I've decided 2002 was a very good year for us. I wish we could go back to those days. The boys were so much fun at that point, not little kids that needed a lot of care, but old enough to behave. We had a lot of fun during the winter snowmobiling and snowboarding/skiing, then at Disney in July, Cape Cod in August (our usual). J and I went to Aruba in November and had a wonderful time. Those were the days. And I was much thinner!!!

Anyway, my room is done! Got the shutters up, tapestry valences up. Now we just need some bookshelves so I can get rid of the ugly plastic table that has all of my shtuff on it!!

It's snowing like crazy. Was so surprised they didn't cancel today. I was swearing at the guy on the recording (JK) this morning. Now they're talking about letting us go at 1 p.m. I hope so!! Maybe I'll scrap some!

Let’s see….and I tag 2 other ladies at SBA…I have to find them first!!

Ok, it looks like Wendy in MD hasn't been tagged on this one!

Yeah, I've been tagged!

5 Guilty Pleasures:

1. Sweets - I've been staying away lately but I absolutely could live without food if I could eat desserts nonstop. I love cheesecake, cookies, chocolate with chunks (nuts, coconut, etc.), ice cream, rice pudding, you name it!

2. Stamping - I would spend all of my free time stamping if I could. Sometimes I need a break and switch to scrapping but stamping is my passion.

3. Posting on SBA and blogging while I should be working!

4. Shopping for sb or stamping things!

5. Hmmm...having a hard time coming up with another. Maybe there's not enough guilt in my life?!! hehe Ok, just thought of another .....margaritas!!

Not sure who to tag? I guess who ever reads this and hasn't been tagged already. AND......found someone........Dina in AZ!!

What a day!

Ugh...what a rotten day at work. Registration begins today so all of the PIA students are coming out of the woodwork. My coworker is out with car troubles so it's just me baby! I will need to see the chiropractor and then de-stress at home with a cocktail or some stamping therapy!! The good news is that I only work until 12 tomorrow so she'll get the punishment tomorrow!! Alone in the office during reistration is hell!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to book club at my neighbor's on Fri. night. I don't actually know what book they read. I can't finish a book in a month because I read a page or two to relax (around 10:30-11 p.m.) then fall asleep. I wake up, read the same sentence and fall back to sleep. Isn't it amazing how your eyes seem to go to the same spot?!! So the book club is really a girls night out with wine and appetizers. This time there will be margaritas (my personal favorite) so it'll be good. well.....back to work!!

MLK weekend

Well Sunday wasn't so easy to get through! We had a long band practice at my house and it was really loud! The floor in the dining room and my sb room were shaking! I put my Ipod earphones in and tried to block out the sound but it was useless. Anyway, I suppose they could be on the streets getting into trouble. I did get to scrap a few more pages. I did 3 of my dad's 8x8 album (photos he sent to me to add). Then I got another 2 done in my family album. I used up a bunch of my stash. Of course, it would take me 10 years to use all of the junk I've bought over the last two years!! I was so proud of myself - I used on of BH sketches to do this lo and it came out pretty good. I think I'm advancing in baby steps sb'ing.

Monday was a nice day off. Got some shopping done and I found these awesome pants at Target. I don't usually get anything there but just decided to try some that were marked down to $16. They fit great!!! I have the weirdest shape and can never find things to fit me. I'm like an upside down pear. So anything that fits my waist, hangs off my butt & legs. I was very happy with my purchase. I even bought some not on sale (same style but different color).

I think I have a winner on my crop date with the 29th of Jan. Can't wait to have the girls over~

Weekend

Well, we made it through last night with no problems (I got to scrap 2 pgs.)! Today the band practice got cancelled (YEAH)! I ran over to the lss and shopped a little. They had a cute make & take valentines tag which I made. I really held myself back from buying too much. J needs to get a job (fingers crossed for the contact this coming week) before I spend any more! So, $41 later, I was pretty happy. I got two new stamps, a nice script Happy Bday and a hibiscus flower (40% off!). I also got a few stamp pads & signed up for the Outlines stamp valentines card class on the 28th of this month. Now that my frequent buyer card is full, I'll have to shop when I'm there for class (30% off purchase). Oh boy, what can I get?!!

We are supposed to get snow tonight. It's been balmy all weekend but the temp is supposed to drop and give us 3-6 inches of snow. Drove G to a friend's house and he'll get dropped off in the a.m., just in time for band practice. Maybe we'll get 10 inches of snow and they won't be able to get here?!!

TGIF!!

Woohoo, I'm very excited about having a long weekend! Thought we were having company but just found out they're not coming. I hate to sound mean but....YEAH~!! I'm very happy I can relax and spend more time stamping & scrapping!

It's been so busy at work (so I'm just squeezing in a post at 3:30 :-). I have one more week of craziness before the semester begins and it's total mayhem!!!

Maybe I shouldn't say this yet but all is quiet on the home front. That is, of course, until band practice starts on Sat.!!! Youngest asked if he could have two different sets of kids over for band practice, one on Sat. and one on Sun. DH will be watching the big Patriot's game on Sat. night so he said it had to be over by 7:00. I'm going to have to go out shopping because I don't think I can endure that noise for so long (3:00-7:00)!! And the same goes for Sun. but only from 1-4:00. I would much rather deal with the noise than have them somewhere else getting into trouble. Well, back to work....until later!
