PPA 285

I made this for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. Isn't this color combination delicious?!   I had a new stamp set just waiting to be inked up and I thought these pretty flowers would look great with Watermelon Wonder and Blushing Bride.  I hope you'll go and check out all of the gorgeous creations at Pals Paper Arts! Or better still, why don't you join us in the challenge? ** edited to add:  Ooooops!  I used Blushing Bride instead of Pink Pirouette!

You've Got This

I made this for a good friend of mine who is close to the end of her radiation treatments.  The pretty flower stamp set is a FREE stamp from Sale-a-Bration called "What I Love".  It has a great "thank you" but I really needed another sentiment for this card.  That's what I love (pardon the pun) about having a variety of stamp sets to mix and match!

"What I Love" is a three-step stamping set.  It's very simple.  You start with a light color and gradually add layers in darker colors.  It's easy and looks like you did some amazing techniques to get there. Please let me know what you think!

p.s.  If you don't know what Sale-a-Bration is, it is a catalog of FREE products.  For every $50 you spend, you get to choose a FREE item!  This runs from January 5 - March 31.  Click here to check out the catalog:  Sale-a-Bration.

I love this color combination for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge!  I just got a big box from Mr. Brown and it was perfect timing!  I pulled out a piece of It's My Party dsp, inked up the Balloon Celebration stamp set and went to work.   I'm not sure if you can see the shimmery balloons.  I colored them with the clear Wink of Stella pen which is now available through Stampin' Up!  Let me know what you think, and please join us if you can!

Many thanks

Sorry I've been MIA.  It's been crazy during the holidays.  We had a great Christmas and New Years! We are still waiting for our grandson to arrive.  We thought it would be before the new year but that didn't happen.  His due date is tomorrow so hopefully he will arrive before I have to go back to work!

I made this to thank a friend for helping me out.  I used the Woodland Embossing folder.  I got inspiration from the talented stampers on Pinterest.  There are lots of fun ways to use this!  For mine, I sponged on some Lost Lagoon ink (toward the trees) and then on the rest of the sky areas I used Pool Party.  Then I stamped the Wonderland trees in Mellow Moss on top of that.  I carefully put my paper in the folder and send through the Big Shot.  I love the result.  You can experiment with lots of colors!

For the snowflake, I started with a wooden element, pressed it on a Versamark ink pad and then embossed with Pool Party embossing powder.  I dusted with a glittery embossing powder for some sparkle.  I know it's hard to see the glitter here. You have to be careful not to over heat.  I did see a little bit of smoke when I wasn't paying attention.  I do love the embossed snowflakes, then again, I just plain love snowflakes!

I plan on dusting off my craft room and getting back to a regular schedule, but I'm on call to take care of my granddaughter when the baby arrives.  Hope to be back soon!
