AZ Trip

As mentioned in my previous post, my husband and I went to Scottsdale, AZ for his company trip.  We had a great time!  I met lots of nice people and we saw some pretty sights.  One day, I went to Sedona with the girls and then went back the next day with my husband.  We arrived in shorts and it was really cold!  It started to rain and hail while we were eating lunch.  We stopped at Jerome, an old mining town, on the way back.  I was petrified during the drive.  It is located at 7,000 feet on the side of a mountain!  I don't have any pictures.  We headed to Tucson the next day and stopped off at Saguaro State Park where we saw lots of cacti.  Next stop was Old Tucson.   They filmed Little House on The Prairie there and lots of movies and shows.  We headed back to Phoenix and stopped at one of the casinos where we lost our shirts!  It was so much fun.  I hope to go back again.

New SAB Items to choose!

I just got back from a nice vacation to Scottsdale, AZ.  It was beautiful out there!  We went to Sedona and Tucson as well.  I will try to post a few pics.  Sedona is gorgeous!  I will have to go back because there were a few friends I really wanted to see.  We just didn't have the time.

Stampin' Up! has added some products you can choose for FREE during Sale-a-Bration.  With any order $50 or more, you can choose one of these items (some are with a $100 order).  Just click to shop!

SAB Ribbon & Cards

I put together this quick card with the items I got for free during Sale-a-Bration!  The shimmer ribbon and Tutti Fruit card bases are great!  The card bases are much prettier in person!   I also used another freebie stamp set called Amazing You, and I added a strip of Tutti Fruit dsp.  Love that stack!  I used Calypso Coral and Dapper Denim, in case you were wondering.  Just click the photos to view details or purchase.

Cleaning up the mess!

I have been addicted to the Petal Passion designer series paper!  I love coloring it with my Stampin' Blends.  I made a few cards with the Petal Palette bundle (okay, more than a few), had some scraps on my desk and decided to clean it up.  I simply adhered the papers (this is the backside of the pretty floral pattern), flower and sentiment piece to a thick whisper white base and I was done!  My desk is now clear so that I can mess it up again tonight!  I would love it if you left me a comment to let me know what you think of my mess!

The Petal Passion paper can be found here:

Paper Pumpkin - Feb. Alternatives

You know I love my Paper Pumpkin, right?  I got my February kit and made two of the kit cards and then made two of my own.  I think this month's is really pretty!  There are so many things you can do to change it up as well.

Instead of using the pretty flowered dsp, I decided to put Island Indigo and Melon Mambo behind the Thank You die cut.  Quick tip:  before you pull off the label shape, rub the letters down so they stay behind.  Then you can use the letters on another project.  I will try to post an easy way to do that later.

Here is the kit card.  Pretty, right?  Did I tell you how much I adore these envelopes?!!

Here is one using Melon Mambo as a base and backing for the letters.

And this one uses Island Indigo.

You could also use Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder, there are lots of options!  Let me know what you think.  If you're interested in ordering Paper Pumpkin, just click on the flower to the right or scroll to my previous post.  They are so much fun!

Myths & Magic

I promised to post a card using the adorable Myths and Magic suite quite a while back.  I was really busy getting ready for my open house event and didn't have the chance.  I won this cute set at OnStage back in November and I was thrilled!  I have two grandchildren to make cards for and I know they will love these characters.  I also thought the wizard could be used to make a masculine grown up card, or even a female one.  Would you use this stamp set for an adult card?  Click to check it out or purchase it.  Can't wait to make a mermaid card!

Such a gentleman!

I know I promised the Myths & Magic card, but I still haven't gotten to it.  I have made quite a few other card samples for my open house though.  I needed a masculine get well card so I inked up Truly Tailored.  I really love this bundle!  Masculine cards can be difficult, but these papers and stamps make it easy!  There is a gorgeous corduroy ribbon in this suite, but I forgot to order it.  The buttons are so handsome!  I'm glad they're back.  I had so much fun with the first card, I went on to create a couple more.  Please let me know what you think!  I love reading your comments.

The Truly Tailored bundle comes with a punch which can be used with any sentiment and is very versatile.  Just click if you'd like to check out the suite.

Heartfelt Blooms

Hello and happy Friday!  I'm looking forward to the weekend, how about you?!

I made this with a stamp set called Heartfelt Blooms from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  It is FREE with a qualifying purchase of $50 or more.  There are so many colors you can stamp this in!  It's also pretty in black.  I love the sentiments as well.  I actually stamped the sentiment crooked and had to cover it up by stamping again and punching with the Pretty Label Punch . As my granddaughter says, "turn it in to a happy mistake."  Good advice from a seven year old!  I finished off with a few Glitter Enamel Dots.  You always want to use an odd number when embellishing.

You can get this free stamp in my store by placing an order of $50 or more.  Just click on the Heartfelt Blooms above or on the flower to the right.  If you are not working with another demonstrator and you'd like a catalog, please send me a message.  I'd be happy to send them to you at no cost.  Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, the wait is killing me on the Stamparatus!  I cannot wait to get my hands on this.  If you still have questions on how this works, please let me know.  This is further information than I've shared before.  What an amazing tool!

Coming soon:

I've been having so much fun coloring these adorable images from Magical Day.  There is a die set to match.  I've cut out the mermaid and knight to show how easy it is.  The other knight was stamped on a Stitched Circle framelit.  You can save 10% by ordering the Magical Day bundle.  There is also an adorable dsp pack and some washi.  Check out the whole suite!  I colored these with my Stampin' Blends which are fabulous!  I will post a card using these images soon.  Thanks for stopping by!

Bubbling Over with joy!

I have a snow day!!  Yippee!

I have spent far too much time playing with the Bubble Over bundle from the Occasions catalog!  I kept making different color combinations.  I also cut the bottles and caps from the Bubbles & Fizz dsp.  Did you know the thinlits fit the dsp?!  I love this!  If I’m too lazy to stamp or want a different color, I can just cut from the paper.

I started by stamping Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake for the brown bottles.  There is a small and larger bottle.  As I was cutting out the dsp,  I noticed some half bottles on the edges.  I decided to cut them out and tuck them in the crate.  No waste!!  I also cut the little bottle caps with silver foil paper.  Aren't they adorable?!  So on and on I went cutting out little bottles and caps, stamping more labels, etc.  I finally made myself stop and make a card.  After all, isn't that what we do this for?  I needed one for a guy at work who is always helping someone in some way.  Hope he likes it.

Let me know what you think and, if you're not working with another demonstrator and want an Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalog, please send me a message.  I will mail it right out to you!  If  you'd like to purchase the Bubble Over set, just click on the name or on my flower to the right.  The catalog is there for your viewing pleasure as well!

Oh, did I mention?!  The Bubbles & Fizz dsp was FREE for me. When you make a purchase of $50 or more, you will get to choose a FREE product in the Sale-a-Bration catalog!  There are so many cute items.  And there are two levels of freebies.  There are two products that are free with a $100 purchase.  I will be showing those soon, but you can see the catalog at my store if you can't wait!  Thanks for stopping by.
