PPA 201

Well, I'm a bit late for Easter, but not for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.  I made this card for my father.  I don't have any Stampin' Up! Easter stamps so I used this digital stamp instead.  I'm kicking myself I didn't buy the cute Easter set in the Occasions catalog.  I've seen some adorable cards using that set!  I might just order it for next year, before the end date.

This was another easy sketch!  I just love when they are straight lines.  I truly hyperventilate when they are diagonal or askew in any way!  I guess it's just my personality.  LOL  I love order and neatness.   I'm the same way in my scrapbooking, or in anything I do!

PPA 200

Wow, Pals Paper Arts is celebrating their 200th challenge!  Go over and check out what the talented artists have come up with!

I made birthday cards for my twin niece and nephew who are five this weekend.  I used the sketch on Addison's card. Although she will like the card, I wasn't completely thrilled so I made another quick one for this easy sketch.  I need so many birthday cards in May!

I love the Watercolor Wonder designer paper!  It's in the Occasions catalog which is only available until May 31.  I cannot believe the Sycamore Street ribbon and buttons is in the clearance rack.  Run, don't walk, and grab yourself a set or two.  It's a great deal!  You get three ribbon rolls and a bag of matching buttons.  This ribbon works well for mailing.  It's not too bulky!  The clearance price is actually $5.59, not what is listed below.  They have some nice deals on the clearance page.  You should check it out before they're gone.

Here is the one I made for Addison.  She loves pink and purple.  I used the Zoo Babies set (hope that isn't retiring!!) and the banner punch.  The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.

Anyway, I hope you like my card.  Please leave me a comment as I love reading them!

Did you hear the BIG news?  Stampin' Up! is partnering with the talented Becky Higgins and Project Life! I've been dying to try their way of scrapbooking but haven't jumped in yet.  I am definitely going to try as soon as I can get my hands on the sets which are available for order on May 1st. It's a fast and easy way to stay on top of your scrapbooking.

Check out the announcement by clicking on Becky's photo below, and let me know if I can answer any questions!  I'm really excited about this partnership!

PPA 198

I am running late with my Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.  I had a busy weekend!  I had a wedding on Saturday and my son's birthday celebration on Sunday.   Anyway, here are the colors:
PPA198 April 3

I got an order in today and this ribbon was in it.  I'm not sure if it is still on the clearance rack, but it was a great deal!  It has three rolls of ribbon in Tangerine Tango, Pool Party and Island Indigo.  There is also a bag of buttons in those three colors plus Rich Razzleberry.  I'm so glad I got this!

I don't have much in Summer Starfruit so I had to make a background with a marker. I have ink pads in Old Olive and Pool Party since they are on my list of favorites. I used a small piece of Sweet Sorbet.

Anyway, I made a quick card tonight.  Thanks for looking and commenting.

A Wedding card

Last weekend I was at my friend's house for a crop and I mentioned that I needed to make a wedding card.  She went into her room and pulled out these two stamps by Morning Star and gave them to me.  She is so incredibly generous!

I took them home and went to work.  It wasn't easy.  I've seen these bride/groom hearts before but they weren't stamped.  I decided to emboss the tux in black and didn't know what to do with the bride.  I finally decided the palest of pink would work for the background.  Then I put White Diamond embossing powder on that (Judikins, I believe).  Then I added the rhinestones.

I knew I wanted to use this cute sentiment set from Stampin' Up!  It's in the Petite Pairs set (product#122497).  I use this set a lot!  It took me a while, but I finally came up with this design.  I used the Framelits Hearts dies (product #125599).

Anyway, it was really hard to photograph but I think the bride will like it.  The wedding is tomorrow and I'm excited to be seeing my husband's family for a happy occasion for a change.

Hope you have a great weekend!
