Trip to Maine...Ah yuh!!

Well, we headed to Maine in the rain as always. And would you believe our land is still there?! LOL My hubby likes to take a ride up to see what "the property" (as he refers to it) looks like during different seasons. He just wants to be sure there's no standing water, what the view is without leaves, etc. before we build.

When he calls it "the property" it cracks me up. It sounds like a big mansion or something.

Would you believe there was snow on the ground in ME? We took a few photos of our beach and the surrounding area just to show the snow. It's almost May!! Weird, huh?

We had a nice dinner at the Black Horse Tavern in Bridgton, ME on the way home. Ate too much and blew the diet. We drove back in the pouring rain. I kept nodding off. Can't help myself. I get lulled to sleep in a car even if I'm not tired.

Question for you - do you sleep on a long ride? Do you read? I can't read. I get carsick if I so much as look at a map.

We had snow here in Denver last week. It's all gone now. Was 83 yesterday!

I love to travel in the car. If it's a wine-de road I fall asleep otherwise I read out loud to my DH. Keeps us BOTH awake. I never get sick - usually the like to eat though!!!

We traveled a lot cross country when I was a kid so I'm pretty seasoned.

I usually fall asleep in the car on long rides. I can't read either, I get sick. I can do ok with a map tho.

Wow, I have never been to Maine, I hope to visit someday. I liked your pictures.

I get horribly carsick reading in the car. My husband can read for hours and it drives me crazy, just because he can and I can't! I also feel ill riding in the backseat for a long period of time.

Wow what beautiful pics. I don't much care for snow but I could take a little vacation where there is snow once in a while. I'm just a California type of weather girl.

I rarely fall asleep in the car and I can't read as I get car sick, yuck!

Gosh, how gorgeous! I so want to go there to visit, and here you are, going to build your home there. Incredible!

For the question, I don't get carsick at all. I love to read in the car, but I don't always get to. My husband likes me to keep him company, LOL! If I try to read, he'll crank up the radio so loud, where he knows I can't read. I navigate usually, and keep him company :)
