PPA315

This pretty color combination is for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge by the talented Michelle Gleeson. I'm so happy she chose them.  I've been in a bit of a rut lately using the same colors over and over!  Old Olive has been one of my favorites for a long time now and I love it paired with Dapper Denim and So Saffron.

I needed a card for my friend's mom who just had surgery.  I decided to use Aqua Painters on Watercolor paper (another thing I can't seem to get away from!).  I used Flourish Thinlits and a sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes Kit.  I hope she likes it!  Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment.

Your watercolor background is so beautiful. You need to give me some coaching on watercoloring. I love the look but tend to get dark streaks that I then overwork and it the entire area is over colored. Another Michelle Q. beauty that your friend's mom will love.

Thank you, Michelle and Lynn! You made my day!

Michelle, The trick is to wet the paper with your aqua painter. Then I pool some water in the inkpad and mix with the ink. I sometimes go back (below the flower here) and add more ink to darken a bit. Thank you for the lovely color combination and comment!

Beautiful card. The watercolor technique is the perfect background for the Flourish thinnest.
