Pals Paper Arts

This is such a cute and easy sketch. I kept my card really simple as I'm short on time right now (as everyone else is).  I pulled out some pretty dsp and called it a day!

Is everyone ready for Christmas?  I'm getting there but I still have a few loose ends and then I can start the wrapping.  I can't say the same for my cards.  I keep saying that I'm not sending, but I have always sent Christmas cards and I can't seem to let it go.  I might have to buy a box or two.  I only have a  handful of handmade on my desk.

It was easy to play along with this pretty Christmas combination from the Pals Paper Arts Color challenge!  I am way behind on Christmas cards.  I don't even think I will send them out, or maybe I'll do a combination of store bought (gasp!) and handmade.  I kept mine simple.  I love the ornament framelits in gold!  I used a Paper Pumpkin sentiment and the fancy dot embossing folder for some texture.

Pals Paper Arts

Just a quick little Christmas card for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I love this combination but the creative juices weren't flowing! This was a nice and easy sketch for the Pals Paper Arts challenge!  I need to get moving on Christmas cards so I made several variations of this today.  I still have a long way to go!

I started out stamping the snowflakes with Versamark and Pool Party embossing powder.  Then I did the sentiment in Versamark with white embossing powder.  I sponged Pool Party around the sentiment and a few other areas.  I then sponged with Island Indigo.  That wasn't quite dark enough to make the snowflakes pop so I grabbed what I thought was Night of Navy.  Well, I was putting it away and noticed it was a retired ink, Blue Bayou.  Oooops!  My fingers are very blue.  I finished off with the Iced Rhinestone embellishments and a basic jewel.  Please let me know what you think.

Tempur-trees

I received an ad for Tempur-Pedic and I've been looking at it on my counter.  I would love a Tempur-pedic mattress, but I'm not ready to shell out the $3500+ dollars.  I did love the cover of their mailing though.  I decided to bring it up to my craft room to try and duplicate it.  Here's what I came up with. I stamped the trees in Whisper White and Sahara Sand (one of them is stamped half and half).  I stamped dots on one and colored in the dots on one with gold and green.I punched the trees out (two were punched smaller). Then I scored two of the trees in half and popped them with dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment and then the snow from the Sheltering Tree set. It's very hard to see the gold in the photo.  All products are listed below.  Let me know what you think!

I made this for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge.  Such a nice combination and in perfect time for Thanksgiving.  I thought I was done with my cards but then remembered another recipient!  I'd love to know what you think.  Also, please tell me what you're doing for Thanksgiving.  I am spending it at home with my immediate family.  It will be fun and relaxing!

Alternative October 2015 Paper Pumpkin

I made this thank you as part of my gratitude challenge.  I used the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit. This is a great kit!!  It has a beautiful stamp set (can you tell I'm a sentiment girl?!!).  It's so versatile. I see myself using these stamps a lot.

I started with a Pool Party base, used the circle from the kit,  framed it with a Circle framelit in Crushed Curry, a panel of Calypso Coral on which I stamped the sentiment.  I tied some retired Pool Party ribbon around the circle, added a few White Perfect Accents (love them!). And please let me know if you want more information on Paper Pumpkin.  The kits have been amazing!!  They contain just about everything you need so they're great for beginners as well as seasoned stampers.

I love this combination for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge!  I thought it was perfect for a Thanksgiving card but I've finished all of mine.  I then remembered that I had a November birthday coming up so that's what I made.

I pulled out the Watercolor Wings and went to work.  I realized I only had a small piece of chocolate chip paper left, so that is on my shopping list for next time.  I do love these butterflies.  They are so versatile!  I made a few extra so that I can whip out more cards later.  Thanks for looking and letting me know what you think!  Please come over to Pals Paper Arts and join us in the challenge!  We would love to see your creations.
