Let it Ride

Hi Stampers!  I am not an animal lover (don't hit me).  I think they're beautiful, I'm just not into them like some people are.  When I saw this set called Let It Ride at OnStage, I had to have it!  The horses are beautiful, but I really fell for the fonts and sentiments on this one.

I started with a base of Balmy Blue, added a panel of Granny Apple Green, and a strip of Wood Textures dsp.  The sentiment was stamped on a Stitched circle and a piece of Burlap Ribbon was added.  Thanks for stopping by!  I'd love to hear what you think.

Butterflies everywhere!

I am in love with the two butterfly sets from the Occasions catalog!  The Beauty Abounds bundle is what I used on the card below.  I was making it for a friend who loves blue and purple.  I chose Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and added in some Granny Apple Green.  I made up my own dsp background with the bubbles and splashes in this beautiful set.  The ribbon is from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Yes, I got it FREE!!  You can too.  If you place an order of $50 or more, you can choose the beautiful organdy ribbon for free.  I love the springy colors in this set.  The dies nest on top of one another.  For the sentiment, I chose the Stitched Labels Framelits.  Please let me know what you think!  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Fall in New England

I really love fall in New England!  I don't think I would ever want to live where I can't see the beautiful leaves, even if it's horrible in the winter.

I decided to make some pretty leaves by taking the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder and tapping some Brushos on the folder and then I spritzed with a Stampin' Spritzer.  I added a panel of thick Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Big Shot.  I also made another with the Woodland Embossing folder.  after spritzing, I took a tissue and ran it down the trees so they would be white.  And for the last card I decided to use the back side of a colorful panel so that it was appropriate for a sympathy card.  I used the leaf punch and Nature's Roots dies as embellishments, and the sentiment piece is from Merry Christmas All from the Holiday Catalog.  Let me know if you have any questions on technique, and tell me which is your favorite!

I promised to share a couple of Aruba pictures, and here they are.  It was beautiful even though we did have two days of rain.  We were experiencing the backlash from a hurricane that was hitting St. Maarten at the time.  The beach area was flooded so we enjoyed the pool.  The next day, we went in the ocean for some big waves!  We met some wonderful people and had a great time as always - One Happy Island!

Animals Everywhere!

I loved the Animal Expedition bundle as soon as I saw it.  I hadn't thought about the versatility until I started playing with it.  I had so much fun!

There is the adorable bundle and also matching dsp called Animal Expedition.  Did you know that you can cut the images from the dsp with the dies?  You can even do a mirror image by placing the die on the back side of the dsp.  Just hold it up to a light to line it up  I saw that trick on a Frenchie Stamps video.  Brilliant!!  You will see the giraffe image cut both left and right below.  Also, you might notice the Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder on the background.  On the rhino, I inked it up with Crumb Cake and ran it through the Big Shot.  The giraffe card was not inked up.

The rhino was for a class card.  I gave everyone the choice of cutting the dsp or stamping the animal and coloring it in.  Most chose the cutting method.  In the last card, I stamped the giraffe and lightly colored in.  What would you choose?

Share What You Love

I LOVE this dsp!!  It's card stock weight and some of the papers are shimmery.  It's gorgeous!  I made this card and several others with it.  I wish I had taken inside pics of this card.  You can see the other side of the dsp inside. I made the base from Rich Razzleberry (8 1/2 x 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4).  I cut off a panel at 1 1/2 inches.  I then cut a piece of Share What You Love specialty designer series paper (4 1/4 x 5 1/2).  I adhered it inside the card stock, wrapped it with this pretty velvet ribbon and added a Linen Thread bow.  The sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set and cut out with Stitched Labels Framelits.  This was made for one of my team members for her birthday.  I can't even count the July birthday cards I sent out!  I think half the people I know were born in July.  I would love for you to leave me a comment.  It'll make my day!  And feel free to ask questions. Thanks for stopping by.

Impressions

I love the Springtime Impressions thinlits dies!  Did I mention how excited I am that Coastal Cabana is back?!!  I truly love this color.  I could live the rest of my life with only Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay for colors!  I paired the Coastal with Petal Pink.  This is a color I didn't think I would like, but I haven't stopped using it!  It's a pretty peachy pink that's very easy to blend in with other colors.  The sentiment is from Abstract Impressions.  Such a pretty and versatile stamp set!

I cut the die in Whisper White and then used Sponge Daubers and colored in with Soft Seafoam, Petal Pink, Coastal Cabana, and Poppy Parade.  I finished it off with Faceted Dots.  Just click on the graphics to shop.  Please leave me a comment to let me know your favorite new or returning color.

From the Heart...

I feel like I've been making a lot of "from the heart, thinking of you, with sympathy" cards lately.  I'm thankful I have new products to make it easier!  Here is one using the beautiful new blue called Balmy Blue, and the specialty designer series paper called Delightfully Detailed.  There are pieces you can use as strips and some as a mat, or you can simply cut to size and use the flowers and leaves as layers.  I scattered a few of the tiny colored pearls from the Share What You Love suite.  The sentiment is from Petal Palette on a Stitched oval.  Let me know what you think!  And click below to view the catalog.  Feel free to contact me for a free copy if you are not working with another demonstrator.

Purple, purple

I think Stampin' Up! has made a purple lover out of me.  I've never been a big fan of it, but the two new purples are so pretty and easy to work with!  The first is Highland Heather and the second Gorgeous Grape.  I decided to put Gorgeous Grape to work with the Abstract Impressions stamp set and some watercolor paper.  I used Granny Apple Green for the leaves.  I love this color, but I've always loved greens.  Aren't these new colors beautiful!  I've been using a lot of Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam too.

I stamped on watercolor paper and spritzed it enough for it to bleed a bit.  The sentiment piece was made from Stitched Labels framelits and I added a tiny piece of Highland Heather to make it stand out a little.  Let me know what you think!

Note cards

I made this note card for a make and take at my Stampin' Up! Open House.  I then decided to create another.  I used the In Color designer series paper.  It's so easy to use!  I also used Stitched All Around framelits and the sentiment from a hostess set called Hand Delivered.  This pretty green is Call Me Clover.  Oh, I forgot...the pretty floral piece behind the sentiment is the Artistic Impressions thinlits.

On the second card, I used the gorgeous specialty designer series paper called Delightfully Detailed.  The sentiment is made from the Make a Difference stamp set.  It's a great alphabet set to have!  The dsp color is Blueberry Bushel and I paired it with Gray Granite. You can click on the products above to shop in my store, or on the flower on the side bar.  Let me know if I can answer any questions and please leave me a comment!  I love reading them.  Thanks for stopping by.

And don't forget, if you are not working with another demonstrator and would like a catalog, please let me know.  I'd be happy to send one to you!
