Let it Ride

Hi Stampers!  I am not an animal lover (don't hit me).  I think they're beautiful, I'm just not into them like some people are.  When I saw this set called Let It Ride at OnStage, I had to have it!  The horses are beautiful, but I really fell for the fonts and sentiments on this one.

I started with a base of Balmy Blue, added a panel of Granny Apple Green, and a strip of Wood Textures dsp.  The sentiment was stamped on a Stitched circle and a piece of Burlap Ribbon was added.  Thanks for stopping by!  I'd love to hear what you think.

Home to Roost

Hello!  I've never been a collector of roosters, but I love the way they look in a country kitchen.  When I saw this guy in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, I just had to have him!  He reminds me of my neighbor's rooster.  I hear him occasionally, and I'm thankful I don't live behind him!  I finally inked him up last night while trying to make some samples for an upcoming class.

I paired the rooster with the Corrugated Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder and embellished with some Burlap ribbon.  I sponged Cajun Craze on the Crumb Cake Corrugated piece (say that three times fast!).

He was colored in with Stampin' Blends in Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede.  Then I die cut with the Stitched Shapes Thinlits.  I backed with a scalloped circle from the Layered Circles dies.

Happy Fall

I am loving this new Painted Harvest stamp set!  The sunflowers look amazing and it's easy to do with the two-step stamping method!  It's a versatile set.  I have seen others use this as a Christmas wreath stamped in green.  Check out my Pinterest board to the right (Holiday 2017).  I have pinned several samples.   Also, below you will see one I made for a class card.  We all created our own dsp with the stamp set. It was fun!
