Going Green with Scrap-Creations

Hi Stampers!  Here is my card for a GREEN challenge on Scrap-Creations.  I know someone whose birthday is very close to St. Paddy's Day so I made this for her.  I'm so excited to be a part of this design team!

I used the Birthday Blossoms set from Stampin' Up!  I simply colored with an Aqua Painter and the Cucumber Crush ink pad, ran the Cucumber Crush cardstock through the Elegant Dots embossing folder, and then added a strip of the envelope paper.  I also created a liner with the same paper using the envelope liner framelits.  Let me know what you think and if you have questions! Please check out the amazing DT cards at Going Grey With Scrap-Creations!  And join the challenge!!
Thanks for stopping by.

A Tee-riffic birthday

My sister-in-law's birthday was yesterday and she invited us over for dinner.  We had a fun time with family members from both sides.  She loves tea so I made her a pot with the Cups & Kettles framelits and Have a Cuppa dsp.

I cut the teapot out of the dsp and flipped the lid over for some added color.  I then stamped the teabag and cut it out using the dies.  I glued some whisper white bakers twine to the back and tucked it behind the teapot.  I thought a few pearls would be nice and got the idea of the steam coming out of the pot.  Let me know what you think!

The Have a Cuppa suite is available through May 31st, but if you make a  purchase of $50 or more before the end of March, you will get to choose a FREE stamp set  or paper through the Sale-a-Bration catalog! Click here to shop!  Occasions 2016

Egg card

There is a cute egg card all over Pinterest.  I'm not sure where it originated so it's hard to give credit. This is my version.  I added the chick from Sale-a-Bration.  The egg was made with the Work of Art set.  I had to use a retired purple since my purples are practically non-existent!  The colors I used are:  Pool Party, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, and Lavender Lace (retired).

I cut the hole out with an oval die and put the panel through the Big Shot with the Elegant Dots Textured Embossing Folder.  I then stamped the colors with Work of Art and put the oval panel over it.  The chick was fussy cut and colored with blender pen and So Saffron ink.  I added a bit of Pumpkin Pie for the beak and Crushed Curry for the shading.

Then I cut a couple of banners.  I seriously could not live without this punch!!  Added a flower with a pearl and called it a day.

I hope you like my version.  Please let me know what you think!  And let me know if you have any questions I can answer.

What I love

Just a quick post to show you what I love ... this sentiment from "What I Love", a Sale-a-Bration, stamp set you can get for FREE (on pg. 7)!!  I truly adore this font. I would love an all occasion set in this! The flower stamp is also from Sale-a-Bration (Flowering Fields - pg. 12).

I stamped on Shimmery White cardstock with Archival Basic Grey ink  and colored in with blender pens and ink.  This shimmery white paper is amazing.  It doesn't pill up when you color and it has a pretty shimmery look which you can't see in the photos.  I used Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist ink on the butterfly, and Old Olive and Blackberry Bliss on the flower and leaves.

For the card base, I used Blackberry Bliss.  I ran it through the Big Shot with the Elegant Dots Textured Impressions embossing folder, and paired it with a retired color (Soft Plum?) and Old Olive.  I colored in a Perfect White Accents enamel dot.  I cut the end of the sentiment strip with the banner punch.  I can't seem to make a card without this punch!

Thank you for stopping by and please leave a comment for me.  If you are interested in purchasing or checking any of these products out, just click on the name.  You can also click the flower on the right to get to my online store.  Let me know if I can answer any questions!

PPA 279

It was easy to play along with this pretty Christmas combination from the Pals Paper Arts Color challenge!  I am way behind on Christmas cards.  I don't even think I will send them out, or maybe I'll do a combination of store bought (gasp!) and handmade.  I kept mine simple.  I love the ornament framelits in gold!  I used a Paper Pumpkin sentiment and the fancy dot embossing folder for some texture.

We would love for you to join us in this challenge!  Go to Pals Paper Arts.
