It's been so nice and quiet. We went food shopping today and then came home to play. No showings or looking at houses this weekend. Dh played guitar and I stamped. I made two cards - one for my aunt and an extra for when I need it. I used Stampin' Up designer papers and cs in Cool Caribbean, purely pomegranate ribbon and ink. It's an odd combination but I think it works.
We just finished filets on the grill and corn on the cob. It's not quite there yet but it was delish. It needs another week or two to be perfect butter and sugar corn. Yum! I made dark chocolate brownies and we have mint choc. chip to go on top. I will start my diet again on Monday. It's so hard to lose weight during the summer!!
So glad you're having a good weekend! You're killing me with the description of the brownie :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great day!
Michelle,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a nice, relaxed weekend.
The brownie sounds awesome...I'm coning to your house for dessert!
I always put butter on corn, but never heard of using sugar too. I'll have to try it. How much do you use per cob?
Hugs, Kimi
great cards !! glad you had a chance to wind down. Do you cook the corn still in their husks or taken out and slathered on with butter/sugar ?
ReplyDeleteCards look great......you just reminded me i need to get one of those oval scallop punch.I love corn on the cob,but i actually like it without the butter,i never heard of putting sugar on it though.........hmm maybe i need to try that!
