Ignoring the negative....

I have such a hard time finding lipstick. I can't live without it because my lips are really pale. Just when I find the perfect lipstick, it gets discontinued. My latest favorite (for the last couple of years) is Maybelline Forever Lip color in Mauvey. As soon as I saw they were getting rid of it, I stocked up on as many as I could. I'm now on my last one.

I've been on the hunt for a replacement with no luck so far. I've tried at least four and that gets expensive after a while. I hate throwing out a brand new tube. It's like taking a ten dollar bill and tossing it out the window.

Yesterday I made a quick trip to Walgreen's and I saw a new lipstick by L'oreal (Infallible in Gardenia). I thought I'd give it a shot because the color looked great beside my Maybelline. I tried it this morning and the color is perfect!!!!!!!! I sometimes like the long lasting and sometimes don't. This is one that has to be removed with make up remover. I'm very happy with my purchase though.

What kind of lipstick do you buy or do you even wear it? It's my one makeup I could not live without.

  1. I was laughing with this post. Lipstick is soo tricky and I have bought a million colors that looked cute in the tube and horrendous when applied. I have dozen red-reds in my drawer that get worn maybe once a year.

For day to day, I am a huge fan of Lip Smackers Dr. Pepper lip gloss. Teeny, I know, but I adore it. I also love Mac Viva Glam -but I forget which number, one of the neutrals.

Enjoy your lips-go give someone a big kiss! :)

  2. me? I rarely use lipstick and as of yet, have not found the "perfect" color which I like. Some look good but when I apply it, it would look so pasty ;-) ...

I do love lipgloss and I wear it more often than lipstick. Not that I wear lipgloss regularly either :-)... just avoiding unnecessary chemicals at this stage :-).

  3. I am not a big lipstick person, only wear it on special occasions like weddings or big parties.

However I do agree with Linda's comment, if you do have lipstick on you definitely got to leave your mark and give plant a big smack on your hubby :)
