October 2015 Paper Pumpkin

This has to be one of my favorite Paper Pumpkin kits!  I know I've said that a few times, but I feel they keep getting better and better!  First off, I love these colors.  Second, the stamp set is gorgeous and so versatile.  This font is to die for.

Here is what I came up with so far.  One is pretty much per the kit instructions, two are a variation of what I saw on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club group on Facebook, and the last two are my own.  My stamp dropped out of my hand and the leaves stamped on top of the flower.  So....I covered it up with a piece of a circle!  On the third card, I just added the rows of piercing and a Calypso Coral Lots of Labels die cut.  Let me know what you think!

Nanny treats

I was in the mood to use some of this adorable Halloween dsp so I decided to make treat holders.  I only have one granddaughter, but she usually goes trick-or-treating with her little cousins.  They were at my house this summer swimming in the pool.  They kept hesitating when they were trying to get my attention. I'm sure they couldn't figure out if my name was Michelle or Nanny.  They went with Nanny after hearing my granddaughter.  I thought it was the cutest thing ever!  They are the sweetest girls.

I saw a tutorial over at ChicknScratch.  I just adjusted it to the stamp sets I had.  It's such a fun and easy project.  I put a box of Halloween yogurt raisins and a fun sized candy bar in each.  I wish I could have fit more but I'm sure their parents are glad I couldn't.

PPA 272

This was a nice and easy sketch for the Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge!  I just got this adorable dog stamp set in and I had to ink it up.  I'm not a dog or cat lover, but I thought it was too cute to pass up.  For fun, I cut a little party hat for him and embossed it with dots.  Let me know what you think!  And please let me know if you decide to play along.  I would love to see what you create!

Travelers

I made one of these cards for a male friend whose birthday is coming up.  I decided to make a couple more while the stamps, inks and papers were out.  Do you do that?  I have a craft fair coming up soon so I am trying to build my stash of cards.

I used Traveler stamp set which I love.  I see myself using this a lot for masculine cards.  I took some Typeset dsp and inked it up with some Stampin' Sponges with the three colors - Lost Lagoon, Old Olive and Crumb Cake.  I love this combination of colors.  Let me know which one is your favorite!

PPA 271

This is definitely a masculine combination in my book!  I had a little bit of trouble with it.  Add in a little orange, and I'd be fine, but without I'm lost!  This is about what our leaves look like right now in NH.  It seems late! I want to see the reds and oranges.  What does your foliage look like right now?

Why don't you give it a try!  Join us at Pals Paper Arts.

29th Birthday

I truly love this stamp set!  I enjoy a little humor now and this set has some funny sentiments.  This one says, "from your 110 lb. friend" on the inside.

I used the White Perfect Accents to show that you can color them.  They're on sale in the Weekly Deals until October 12.  They are the "perfect" accent for me as they aren't bumpy for mailing.

PPA 270

Isn't this a beautiful color combination?!  It's so rich looking.  I decided to make a sympathy card because it seems I never build a stash of them!  I am also trying to get a pile ready for a craft fair coming up in early December.  That was one item I didn't have many of last year, and I got a lot of requests for them.  Please let me know what you think.  I really love reading your comments!

We would love to have you join us!  It's a fun way to make you think outside the box.  I love trying new color combinations and sketches!

PPA 269

This is my loose impression of the sketch.  It was a tough one!  Hope you like what I created.  I started with Into the Woods designer series paper and added the wreath from the Wonderful Wreath set.  I put a banner with a sentiment from September 2015 Paper Pumpkin and tied some linen thread on the wreath. I then stamped a few items from the Paper Pumpkin stamp set (acorn and leaves) and fussy cut.  This is such a cute stamp set!  I love my Paper Pumpkin subscription.

PPA 268

I was very tempted to make a Christmas card with a big star or snowflake in the middle, but decided to make a Halloween card because I love this cute set!  I also love the spider webs.  I love that they can be reversed and used as a snowflake, or the center can be cut out for a pretty doily.

August Paper Pumpkin Alternative

Ladies, do not throw away those pretty little Victoria's Secret bags!  I saw that black satin ribbon with the light pink edge and immediate thought of the August Paper Pumpkin!  I knew it would be a perfect match.  So...I cut the bag to get the ribbon handles out and then put it through my curling iron to straighten out the wrinkles.  What do you think?

Click on the item below to order Paper Pumpkin.  It's a fun box of creativity and you receive one each month.  Let me know if I can answer any questions on it.  You can buy prepaid subscriptions for 1, 3, 6, 12 months, or you can get a monthly subscription.  I can't wait until I receive the September Paper Pumpkin!
