I love the soft and pretty color combination by the talented Lynn Hoyt! This is for the Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I think it could be used for just about anything - baby, sympathy, birthday, get well, etc. I decided to make a thank you. I used the beautiful new set called Thoughtful Branches which is only available from August 2-31, while supplies last. I just had to have it!
I have to be honest...I had some glue smeared on my paper from when I put the hydrangea down. I almost started over but saw someone on Pinterest who had cut flowers out and popped them. That's what I chose to do and it did make the glue disappear! I also added Wink of Stella pen to the flower. The rest was easy. I used an Aqua Painter to watercolor some Marina Mist on the background. I used Whisper White cardstock. I decided to keep the embellishments on the sentiment piece. I used a bit of Smoky Slate baker's twine and a heart from a retired punch in Marina Mist. Easy peasy! Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think!
Very elegant. Love the added flowers for dimension!

ReplyDeleteLove how you used the pink for the leaves! Or are those flowers on the tree? With the Smoky slate for trunk it's just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the kind comments! Lynn, thank you for the color combo. That is actually a hydrangea branch!
