My friend's mom passed away the other day so I made her this card. She was such a funny lady. I remember when I first met her family when we lived in MI. They took us in on holidays. One of my best Thanksgivings was with them. I made stuffing with her mom and laughed with the rest of the family all day until it was time to leave. The sad part was I was moving to PA the next day. I cried all the way to PA and she cried the whole day too. I'm so glad we still keep in touch after 24 years. I consider her my best friend.
The other funny memory with her family is when I went to visit about 5 yrs. ago. We ended up playing dominoes with her mom, dad and sister. We drank margaritas and ate olives (my first time ever on the olives). We laughed so hard we cried. Anyway, enough rambling. RIP Gloria. You will be missed.
Can someone tell me why I cannot get this photo to load the right way? It's saved in landscape so why does it come out portrait?! Drives me insane.
Sorry to hear about your friend's mom's passing away. Your card is beautiful, Michelle. A good friend of mine, also named Gloria, passed away in June. It's good to reminesce about our friends in happier times.
ReplyDeleteShould read "reminisce".
