Quick baby card....
An online friend just had a baby boy so I made this quick card last night. I hope she doesn't read my blog! I used my SAB dp again!! I guess it's a good thing that it's not sitting in my stash like the rest.
I used SU cs in Bashful Blue and So Saffron and colored in with Prismas and Gamsol. I colored over the yellow with Butter Cream Shimmerz and the blanket with Sky Blue. You can't see it too well. I tried shooting from the side like Kristen suggested but it didn't work. It must be my lousy lighting in the basement. You can definitely see the shimmerzy blankie if you double click. Just don't look too closely for any mistakes!! LOL
I'm so excited that the ponds are finally melting which means spring has finally sprung!! It's still cool here but it's supposed to warm up by the weekend.
Another very cute card. That duckie is adorable.
ReplyDeleteDangerous Q:When you say prismas, is it the colored pencils or watercolor kind? and can you find gamsol in M's? :-)
You do GREAT work. I'm love to scrapbook, but I'm not great at it...yet... :)
ReplyDeleteCute Michelle
ReplyDeleteAwww, sooo sweet! Love the little safety pin on the ribbon, what a great touch :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're thawing out a bit up there. But, that means no more snowmobiling trips, huh? Are you sure you're ready for spring and summer?! If you want HOT, come visit me in a couple of months. It's like living in an oven :)
I think your recipient(s) will love the card....adorable!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will see the beginning of Spring coming soon! You could always visit the sunny Southwest for some sun!
Michelle this baby card is just too cute!! You really have a knack for making wonderful baby cards. I find them hard to make. I love that blue with the so saffron, I never think of trying those colors together, but I love the combo on your card.
ReplyDeleteReally cute, just makes you saw awwwwwwwwwwwwww.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great card. I LOVE This image. Who makes it. Your coloring is fanatastic.
ReplyDeleteI definately see the shimmerz. Play around a little with the lighting and moving your card and then shoot. Sometimes you have to turn your card on the side.
