PMDC-042

I made this for Nicole Watt's Pixel Maven DigiChallenge.  I love the sketch and will definitely use it again.  I am not really a digi girl, but I enjoyed playing with My Digital Studio by Stampin' Up!  I am on a computer all day so I don't often take the time to create any hybrid cards at night.  I truly love the papers, ribbons and all in my hands!

I mostly used one of my favorite designer series papers called Sweet Sorbet.   This is a FREE gift during Sale-A-Bration.  I am placing another order before it runs out because I just have to have one more pack of this!  I also used two other freebies.  The twine and the Petal Parade stamp set.  I have to confess, it wasn't one of my first choices.  I saw some cute ideas and decided to get it.  I love this stamp set, especially for backgrounds!  There are only a few days left to grab these freebies, so don't wait!

PPA197

Here is my card for  Pals Paper Arts Challenge 197.  I wanted to get some coloring practice in and I ended up using watercolor paper, inks and an Aqua Painter.  I think I used the wrong black because it smeared a bit.  I also smudged the sentiment a little.  I usually figure out what layout I want and where I want to stamp, before adhering.  Not this time!  I will learn....some day!  LOL  Sorry about the pretty sunset in the background.  I couldn't bring myself to shut the blinds (actually, I forgot).

I'm looking forward to this weekend.  I will be spending Saturday with my crafty girls.  Half of us stamp and the other half scrap.  We always have a lot of laughs and that's all that matters!

Anyway, thanks for looking and commenting, as always!

Loving my starbursts!

I not only love a good Starburst candy now and then, I also love these stamps and dies from Stampin' Up!  I was making a card and decided to try a few different colors to see what worked best with my designer papers.  I ended up using the different colors on a couple of cards.  I almost didn't buy this set and I'm so glad I did.  It's from the Occasions Catalaog which runs through June 1, 2014.

Which one do you like better?  Thanks for looking and commenting!

PPA 196

Here is my Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge card.  I love this sketch!  I used the same stamp set as last week but left the little cake out.  I made this for my aunt who never ages.  Hope you will go and check out what the talented Pals have created.  As always, thanks for leaving comments for me! Hope you had a great weekend.

I completely forgot to include the envelope liner framelits (product 132172).  I have a hard time not lining my envelopes now!  Love the look.

I really wanted to participate in Pixel Maven's DigiChallenge #041 because I love this color combo!  I still need a few "thinking of you" type cards so I made another. I ended up using a sketch from Pals Paper Arts Challenge from January.  You should play along!

Pixel Maven's DigiChallenge (PMDC-041) Color challenge runs 3/14/14 - 3/24/14. Play along with us at www.pmretreat.com/pmdc @NMWatt #pixelmaven #mydigitalstudio

PPA 195

Here is what I made for the  Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge 195.  This combo was much easier for me than the blue/grays in the previous challenge!  Wild Wasabi is one of my favorite greens and So Saffron is my favorite yellow.  I got this cute stamp set for free in the Sale-a-bration catalog.

You can't quite see the sparkly flames.  Maybe the second photo will help.  I just brushed them on with my clear Wink of Stella pen.  I ended up winning a gift certificate from a Simon Says Stamp blog hop.  I used it to buy the Wink of Stella pen and a cute Simon Says Stamp birthday stamp set.

I'm so ready for spring.  Aren't you?  It's snowing outside my window so I guess I'll have to wait.  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

p.s.  I neglected to mention the matching envelope I made with the Envelope Liners (product 132172).  I just love how it adds a little something.  I used retired designer papers on this as well in So Saffron.  I love how the matching printed papers make it easy to coordinate!
