We'll Walrus Be Friends!

This adorable set in the Stampin' Up! 2019-20 Annual Catalog made my A list!  I couldn't wait to color in a cute walrus with my Stampin' Blends.  I went up to my paper therapy room with the idea of making one customer thank you card.  I finally quit after making five cards with these cute little guys.

On most of my cards, I put a piece of vellum through the High Seas 3D Embossing Folder and inked it up a bit with a dauber and Coastal Cabana ink.  Then I adhered with Snail on Smoky Slate cardstock.  I think it looks a bit like the darker blue water in New England.  What do you think?

I also used a fun new product called Shimmery Crystal Effects.  It gives a shimmery wet look to your projects.  I don't know if you can see it under the waves in the photo.  You can also use this with the new Ice Stampin' Glitter.  Such a pretty effect!

Thanks for stopping by.  Please let me know which one you like best!

p.s.  The walrus looks like me on vacation.  Can you guess where I am?

Run, run, run!!

Heads up!  Stampin' Up! has added to the clearance rack and products will be flying off the shelves!  Go and check it out before it's too late!!  Just click on the graphic.  You're welcome!

Sip, Sip, Hooray!

Hello everyone!  I just had to share this amazing bundle from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!  I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it.  I've had so much fun playing with the pieces.  I've been dreaming of my upcoming tropical vacation .  I cannot wait!

For the first, I used Flirty Flamingo as a base, a Pool Party panel, and a whisper white panel which I die cut with the strip of dots.   The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthday and embellished with Woven Threads sequins.

For this card, I used Coastal Cabana as a base with a panel of Daffodil Delight, and a strip of Brights dsp.  The Stitched Nested Label Dies were used.  I truly love the shape of them.  I kept it simple and embellished with Rhinestones.  Notice under the glass - I always feel like you need a bit of grounding so I used Light Smoky Slate Blends to just add a bit of color.  Sometimes I fade it with the Color Lifter.  Let me know if you have questions, or if you'd like a catalog.

If you don't have a demonstrator and you'd like an annual or holiday catalog, please message me.  I'd love to send you one. If you place an order with me in September of $50 or more and use the host code of  DPTHUTJK, I will send you a package of embellishments!

Sneak Peek Snowman

Have you seen the Stampin' Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog?  It's amazing!  There are so many great products, I can't begin to list them.  If you do not have a catalog and are not working with a demonstrator, I'd love to send you a catalog and earn your business.  Send me a message if you'd like one! This catalog begins on September 4.

In my pre-order, I got this adorable snowman bundle.  I created two cards, one using the punch to build a snowman and one was stamped on a Stitched Oval.

Among other things, I bought the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint.  I made a snowman hat and decided to try it out.  Well, I was disappointed. It was a messy semi-white line of liquid.  A few days went by and I decided to read the directions.  Boom!  You have to heat set the line of liquid!  Once you do, it puffs like snow.  It's amazing!  I would probably add more to this now that I know how awesome it looks!  I used another new product on the first card.  It's called Shimmery Crystal Effects.  If you zoom in,  you will see random sparkly spots on the snow.  It was very easy to use and didn't require reading the directions!

Vibrant Vases

I posted a sketch challenge over on my Facebook business page.  I gave the sketch a whirl last night.  I haven't cut into my new In Colors dsp yet, ,so I decided to use that.  Pretty Peacock is my favorite new In Color.  What is yours?  Leave me a comment and let me know.  I'm not sure why I hadn't used it yet, but I'm glad I did.  I paired it with Bermuda Bay, Granny Apple Green, and Pineapple Punch.  I would use this color combination again.

The stamp set is called Vibrant Vases and it's a great set!  I stamped the vase on Shimmery White Cardstock in Pretty Peacock, used the solid vase to stamp over with Granny Apple Green, and then punched out.  The flowers were stamped with Pretty Peacock and colored in with Pineapple Punch and a Blender Pen.  Then I fussy cut the flowers, and adhered the vase and popped the flowers with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in Bermuda Bay.  Isn't it a pretty font?  Please let me know what you think!

Mosaic Mood

Don't you just love the new Stampin' Up! designer series papers?!  There are so many beautiful ones.  The Mosaic Mood dsp makes it so easy to create a card!  I made two different cards for class so everyone could have an option to choose from.  I simply fussy cut the roses and the hummingbirds from the paper.  We stamped a sentiment on this beautifully shaped die from To a Wild Rose and then added the Mosaic element.  It was so easy!  I love the colors in it.  I used So Saffron as a base and added the strip of Mint Macaron.  I added texture to one with the basket embossing folder.  You could use just about any of them.  The Mosaic Tile folder would look even better!  (note to self: order that next).  I finished off the rose card with the metallic pearls, another favorite of mine!  Let me know which is your favorite!

*edited to add a Mint Macaron version below.  I needed several healing hugs type cards this week!

New Best Friend!!

Well, it's here!  The brand new Stampin' Up! Catalog is live!!

Here is a card using the Free As A Bird bundle.  Oh, I just love this set!  The dsp is gorgeous!  I stamped these sweet little birdies in Memento Ink and colored in with Stampin' Blends.  The sky background was created by coloring Light Pool Party and fading with the Color Lifter.  I really love the Free As A Bird Bundle.  The stitched shapes are amazing!  I can see myself using them a LOT.

Come Sail Away!

The new Stampin' Up! 2019-20 catalog is almost here!  I was able to place a preorder as a demonstrator, and I just had to have the Sail Away bundle!  I live in New England, and the ocean is my favorite place to be.  This set has sailboats, a lighthouse, anchor and rope, and a few more items.  The dsp is amazing as well.

Here are two cards using the suite.  I used Night of Navy as a base for both, and the pretty blue panel is made from a new In Color called Seaside Spray.  It's cut with dies from the Free As A Bird bundle.  Don't you just love the stitched shape?!  I will be using this a lot.  I stamped the seagulls, boats and lighthouse with Night of Navy as well.  I colored the boats with Stampin' Blends in Real Red and Old Olive.  You could easily use Blender pens with the inks as well.  The first card has a piece of rope beneath the sentiment stamped on Old Olive & cut with the Classic Label Punch. The next card is using a retired sentiment on Crumb Cake and I used one of the awesome embellishments with Linen Thread tied through it.  You could make this into a get well, thanks, happy birthday, congrats, graduation, etc.

Another option is the Come Sail Away Memories and More kit.  It has some great prints, amazing laser cut papers, and cards for scrapbooking or easy card making!  These are so popular and sell out fast, so be ready to order on June 4!  Check them out in the video below.

If you do not have a catalog and you are not working with another demonstrator, please message me and I'll be happy to send one out to you.  This is one you don't want to miss!  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stampin'!

SHOP HERE and receive a free  pack of embellishments by using my June  Host Code: 3XDRXTXN  with any order of $40 or more.  If your order is $150 or more, please do NOT use the host code as you will get 10% stampin' rewards to use on whatever you'd like!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day, friends!  Here is one of the cards I made for my husband's godmother/aunt. The photo doesn't show it well, but the white was embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. I wanted it to look like textured wallpaper.  If you run this both ways through the big shot, it looks like linen.  Such a nice way to add texture!

The Tea Together bundle was used to create the cup.  This will be available in the new catalog starting June 4.  I used  the Stitched Labels framlits for the sentiment, Stampin' Blends for coloring, Balmy Blue for a base (LOVE this color), and the Gingham dsp from the Occasions catalog.  This is only available for a short time so don't hesitate!  Just click on the photo to shop.

I hope you have a wonderful day!
