Back in the swing....

I made this for a friend who has been sick. I just love the image! I got it from SJ's Little Musings. She has some amazing images!! The picture is lousy as always! Would you expect any less from me?! I find myself using this paper a lot. My only problem is that I don't have anything close to that darker teal color!

So many get wells....

I have so many get well cards to make. I pulled together a quick one the other night so I could get it in the mail fast. I forget the name of this SU dp, but I love it.

I've been going out of my mind with my laptop. My keyboard has been working on and off. It's really weird. The first time it happened, I pulled out my mouse USB and plugged it back in. It worked. Now that's not working and I have to go into the settings and sometimes the keyboard says it's working and other times it doesn't even recognize that I have a keyboard. I need to bring it to my techie friend to look at. If it's a big issue and I have to send it to HP, I need to do it soon since it's just about a year old (June or July).

Passion for Crafts blog candy....

Go on over to Debbie's Passion for Crafts blog and check out her amazing cards and take a chance on this blog candy!

I would love to have this cute set!

Happy Late Mornings....

My work friend is taking advantage of the early retirement recently offered. I am soooo jealous! This is the one time I wish I were older. Anyway, she commented that she is getting tired of the early mornings so I chose this image to be funny. The digi stamp is from Stretchnbubbles.

Hope you have a good weekend!

So sad.....

I had to make a quick sympathy card last night for my husband's family who lost a young man (33)this week. It's not my best work. I don't like making sympathy cards when I actually need them but I've depleated my stash. :-( I'll have to start making them again to build it back up.

I'll try to find the source of the digi tomorrow. I used CTMH papers and an unknown piece of cs that is leathery looking.

I took a vacation day today but I won't be relaxing. I have a few errands to run, cards to make, and a wake to go to. I'm looking forward to the weekend!

A streak of luck....

I won a digi stamp at Inspired by Stamps yesterday. I got to choose from these cute stamps at Deedee's Digis. I chose the flamingo set. Deedee was an absolute doll! I had trouble with the image at first (not the image, the operator) and she was so helpful!

Then I got home today and opened my gorgeous stamp set from Vicki at Wizard's Hangout in today's mail. That was quick! Can't wait to use both. I guess I'm thinking there's a third somewhere in my future?!

Another hillbilly....

Just loving these hillbilly images for my guy cards! My nephew turned 30 and we went to his party the other day. He got a chuckle out of this one.

I still need to edit with the correct website for these images. They seem to have disappeared and my friend gave me the wrong one from the post before. I'll find it though....

The guitar man...

My hubby plays guitar so I made this Digidoodleshop hillbilly for him. He got a kick out of it, especially the silver knobs (no idea what they're called). The picture is horrible as always. But would you expect any less of me?! LOL Have a nice weekend!

Mom's Day cards...

Here are a couple of quick cards I made for Mother's Day. I'll have to edit later with credit for the digi images.

I am using this one for the Belli Challenge. All you have to do is use a hole punch. Go and check it out! The circle sentiment on the first card is a freebie from Sugar Creek Hollow. The cute little guy with flowers is from Meljen's. She has a ton of adorable freebies. I used CTMH printed papers and SU cs.

I got the cute Happy Mother's Day stem on the second card from Stampin Inspirations. Go and check out the amazing projects on her blog. I'd love to have one that says Happy Birthday or something else too.

The cute owl on the last one is from Lost in Paper Scraps. I got a ton of sweet freebies a while back and I am always pulling them out to use. I used SU dp and cs on this one.

I won, I won....

I was doing my usual blog browsing today when my name popped out at me! I won blog candy at Wizard's Hangout. I'm so excited!

I made a few very last minute Mom's Day cards. I made a quick one Sat. afternoon and another after my mom left for my brother's brunch. Talk about stress!! I completely forgot to post the photos yesterday though. I'll try to remember tonight. Hope you had a nice Mother's Day and/or weekend!

And don't forget to check out my sidebar for a chance to win some candy at Rainbow Echo Designs!

Busy as a bee....

Life has been way too busy lately. I haven't had much time to craft. I've been stealing cards from my stash lately because I just don't have the time to make them. This weekend I absolutely have to make my mom her mother's day card and also one from the boys. I want to make a mother-to-be one for my son's gf as well. Then my hubby's bday is Tues. so I'll need to make two cards for him.

Anyway, I just wanted to wish my mother friends a very Happy Mother's Day!! And I hope the rest of you have a great weekend!

Maybe baby....

I hope I didn't already posted this one. I don't think I did though. I made it a while ago. I was just clearing out my photo files and remembered it. This cute digi stamp is by Digital-Ink Co. Thanks for looking.

Missing my stamps....

The closest I came to getting into my stamping room is by giving tours of my house yesterday. I had a jewelry party yesterday to help my niece/godchild out. She is just starting out. I had a good turnout for her so that was great!

No one has seen my new house yet so I spent a good part of the weekend cleaning, organizing and cooking for Sun. We finally got the little bathroom painted and put a curtain up. The only problem is my husband couldn't get the mirror back on because it had globs of adhesive. We went to Lowe's Sat. night to see if we could get a new one but they didn't have what we wanted.

We did leave the store with a ton of solar lights - posts for around the pool, tiki lights around the pool and a set of landscaping lights for the front walkway. They look pretty cool! My hubby was so excited last night after dark. He saw two light up and then three and so on. It doesn't take much to make us happy! LOL

Anyoo, we had fun seeing family and friends. Some of them stayed long after the party was over so we didn't end up getting Chinese take out until about 9. I'm wiped so I don't think stamping is on the agenda for tonight....

Bird's Eye View...

I've been cracking up over this little bird in my back yard. He sits at the tippity top of this thin tree and it sways back and forth. The branch doesn't look strong enough to hold him. He hangs on for dear life. It's hysterical to watch. He yacks while he's up there too. Just had to share. Hope you can see him. If you double click, you'll get a better view.

Another one more candle...

I had today off for Patriot's Day and I was kind of lazy. I should have been more productive and gone for a walk. I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow.

It took me forever to make this because my mom kept popping in to talk to me. It's for an online friend and I hope she doesn't see it before it gets to her. I used this funny Bugaboo Stamps image again. You can't see it but I colored her hair with silver Shimmerz and the candles with orange. I used an Amy R. sketch from a few weeks ago. I just realized I didn't quite get it right. Oh well!

Twinsies....

Here are two simple cards for my twin niece and nephew's first birthday. It looks like my one is crooked in one of them. I'll have to fix it.

Can you see how old these papers are? I'm forcing myself to use up or toss some crap. They're only one and their mom isn't a stamper, so they don't know what's old and new! LOL Both sentiments are Hero Arts. I think all cs is SU but honestly can't remember. The cute lion image is from Meljens Designs. Sorry, I cannot find the source for the cute bear.

I feel so bad. Their first birthday party is a big cookout and it's going to be lousy out. I think it'll be cold and rainy. Can't wait to see the little dolls though! I need a baby fix.

What a day!!

Whew, what a day I had! I went to work exhausted. I haven't been able to sleep because my back hurts so I toss and turn. Anyway, it was really busy in the office. Sometimes it doesn't pay to take a vacation day because you have double the work when you return! I think I'll go to bed early tonight.

I made this with Mother's Day in mind but I'm not sure what I'll use it for. I was going to send it to my aunt from my 20 yo. It's his godmother.

I used mostly SU - dp, cs and ribbon. The image is from Lost in Paper Scraps. Isn't he cute?! I just love her images!

I have a question for you. Do you send mothers day cards to anyone other than your mom? I used to send out a bunch. Unfortunately my nana isn't around any more but I do send one to my godmother, my boys godmothers and my husband's godmother (they're all aunts). So I better get going on the rest of the cards!!

p.s. I don't know what is up with my photos lately but the dp is washed out on this one.

Anniversary...

Here's a really quick card I made for my BIL/SIL's anniversary. I used SU butterfly punch, SU pp. The cs is something I got a while ago from a friend (thanks, Linda ;-)) The sentiment is from CTMH. The photo kind of faded it a little but you get the idea.

My son's 24th...

I can't believe my son is 24 today and about to be a Dad (well, in August). Where has the time gone?!

His girlfriend made this cake decorated with neon food coloring! Evan loves purple and teal. He was wearing purple a year before it became the new popular color for men. Too funny!
